Story
We have had sweet Higgins (beagle mix) since he was a few months old. He is now six. Higgins is much beloved by our family and so sweet natured. We have a three year old son and a second baby this June. Higgins is fine with dogs and cats, but skiddish around children, and although he has never aggressively attacked a child, we feel that his displayed nervousness around children he is not familiar with plus the energy it takes to care for a dog and two babies means it is time to find him a better home. He is by no means a high energy dog; one walk a day would do. We want to see him somewhere where he is as loved by his new family as he is with us. He is fully house broken. He did go to a puppy obedience school. He loves outside time in the sun and walks on his leash. The ideal family would have a yard, be active, and either not have young children or have children 13 and older.

Story
MATEY is a perfectly, imperfect boy. For the right adopter we have a SPONSORED adoption fee to help give Matey an “eye up” towards getting adopted !! 1.5 yr under 20lb Dog friendly - he would love a playmate in his home No cats too curious Adult home ( kids over 14 considered) He has a beagle nose a fenced yard would be great but , not a necessity for an active adopter. Brought in stray to a shelter, he lost his right eye to an infection. It doesn’t affect him living his best life. He does need verbal cues when you approach from his blind side or when he is sleeping . He loves to play with other dogs . His favorite playdates are running around with dogs bigger than him . He is house and crate trained he likes to sleep in his crate. He has great leash skills . Loves car rides! Matey is good in the home , loves playing with toys. He will need to continue learning his basic commands. Who would love to love this little one eyed beagle mix ?? FILL OUT OUR APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE BEDANDBISCUITDOGS.COM FOSTERED IN CT

Story
Buford is a 14 week old beagle boy. He's at the age where his voice is his message for everything. We bay for cuddles, we bay for play, we bay for giggles. Working on house training, which is going pretty good. Loves his chew bones, balls & sticks in the yard. His wiggle butt will keep you laughing and the kisses & cuddles are the best. Gets along with all his furry buddies and bays at them to get them to play. Clown, gentle soul will make a great family member. Buford Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
