Meet Eumy, a 2-month-old, 4.5-lb little lovebug whose life almost ended before it even had the chance to begin. Eumy and his 11 siblings were discovered tucked deep among the rocks at a beach in Puerto Rico, trapped inside a little beach cave as the tide was coming in. With the water rising, rescuers climbed down into the rocks and pulled the puppies out one by one before they could be washed away. You would never know Eumy had such a scary beginning. This tiny boy is SO cuddly, playful, sweet, and ridiculously loving. He loves everyone and everything — people, other dogs, playtime, snuggles — and is happiest when he can curl up close to someone and soak up all the affection he can get. At just 4.5 lbs now, Eumy is still a tiny baby. Our vet’s best guess is that he’ll be around 35 lbs or under when fully grown, but with a mystery rescue puppy, adult size is never a guarantee! Eumy is in a NYC foster and can be adopted in various surrounding cities and towns!

Milo Long Legs is a sweet little guy with an adorable face, wonderfully lanky legs and an easygoing approach to life. He may be a little timid when first meeting someone, but give him time to settle in and you will see the gentle companion waiting underneath. He has also been around larger dogs and can feel comfortable with them as long as they are not too pushy or overwhelming. He is not looking for an all-day playmate but more an fun sidekick. Milo is much more of a companion dog who enjoys simply sharing his space with good company. Because he is still building confidence around unfamiliar dogs, Milo benefits from slow introductions and canine friends who will let him get comfortable at his own pace. A calm, socially savvy dog could be a nice match for him, but he would also be perfectly happy on the receiving end of an adoring family, no dogs needed. Milo was calm, cautious and respectful when meeting our house cat. He observed without becoming overly interested and gave the cat plenty of space, making him a promising candidate for a home with a dog-savvy cat and thoughtful introductions. At home, Milo is house and crate trained. He rides well in the car, has great basic leash skills and brings a comfortable medium energy that is neither overly busy nor demanding. He enjoys getting out for a walk, but he is equally suited for a relaxed day at home. Milo may not immediately climb into the lap of everyone he meets, but that makes his connection feel even more special.   Everyone loves a Beagle and Kenny B  is no exception to being a Beagle that especially needs love and some much needed personal guidance.  This 3 year old Beagle boy is 26 pounds and pretty much ALL Beagle.  But he needs someone to color inside the lines and shape him into an exceptional fellow that we know he is capable of being.  He was found as a stray with his brother Dean and at this stage of life he is a blank canvas that needs polishing and molding.  Kenny B is healthy and thankfully heartworm negative.  True to form this boy is full of energy and lots of hunting instincts that cannot be denied.  His mind and body and tail are always busy wagging and exploring his outdoor environment.  Fortunately despite being abandoned and found as a stray, this boy is friendly with humans, kids and other dogs are welcome new friends to discover for him.  This  boy Kenny B can accept AND give love generously and without hesitation.  And of course he needs a fenced yard that he cannot escape.  He will test you at first on that fencing thing but you as the human are smarter than him.  Secure the yard well and then no problem.  He is good on a leash and knows the sit commands only.
