Story
Rollie was surrendered after his owner died. He had never lived inside until he came into rescue. He is now house and crate trained. He does love to run and play and hide his bones outside. He had very little socialization with other dogs and is a little dog selective (prefers females more than males). He's more of a loner than most. He has always been crated inside to avoid the mischief a beagle tends to get into with chewing items he isn't supposed to be chewing. It is more for his safety of not swallowing anything harmful. He will bark to let you know when he needs to go potty. He has been completely vetted. He deserves a home of his own to retire in and enjoy the rest of his life. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions. Please email us for the link to the adoption application.

Story
Using the word perfect to describe a dog feels subjective but this dog is truly perfect! There is not a person/ home/day that this dog wouldn’t make better. She is a little bit tender, a little bit thoughtful, and very, very easy to be immediately smitten with.. She doesn’t rush into the spotlight, but once you notice her, you won’t want to much more than look at her and gush over how perfect she is! Go watch her in action on YouTube- then come right back, to read more about her! https://youtu.be/NIijLO8vaC0 Bumble is estimated to be around 1 year old and weighs 21 lbs. She appears to be a Beagle mix, though as always with rescue, breed and birthday are our best guess. What we can say for sure is that she is in that beautiful phase where she is young but already showing her personality, and it is such a sweet one! Let’s talk about her nature, because that is really where Bumble shines. She is a soft, observant girl in new environments but sweet and gentle meeting new people. She has moments where she wants to take it in versus rushing in, she may hang back at first, but she settles in with a little time and a gentle approach. Beyond that short moment, she is affectionate, cuddly, and happiest to be close to her people. Her foster shared that she’s wonderful with kids, she lives with a 9 and 15 year old, and has an easy, gentle presence in the home. She doesn’t bring chaos with her, just a calm, sweet energy that makes everything feel softer. With other dogs, Bumble is polite and unbothered. She has lived with multiple dogs of all sizes, from fellow beagles to Great Danes, and does beautifully. She doesn’t feel the need to jump into play right away and is happy to coexist peacefully, but she’s friendly and appropriate when interacting. She would do well with a playful dog or a more laid-back companion, depending on what her person is looking for. She is also cat friendly and currently living successfully with cats, showing respectful, easy-going behavior around them. Bumble is house trained and will walk to the door to let you know when she needs to go out. She rides nicely in the car and has basic leash skills but is undoubtedly a bit more interested in sniffaris vs. long haul walks. When a walk is in order she does well with guidance and consistency will help her learn that walks are for more than just her beagle nose.. She enjoys toys and chews and has great house manners. Her foster shared that she has been wonderfully trustworthy and hasn’t shown interest in getting into things she shouldn’t. If Bumble had to be summed up with three words it would be- gentle, steady, and devoted. She’s not here to overwhelm you with big, bold energy. She’s here to be your soft place at the end of the day. The kind of dog who settles in beside you, leans in just a little, and makes your world feel calmer without even trying. She will be looking forward to that moment as much as you every day. Bumble is ready and waiting but she won’t be waiting long so do not hesitate, if she has stole your heart the was she did our, apply today! Perfection like this exists and here is your chance to experience it! Apply today: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/69b8543d8b3482d2d804c02f Questions? Story
Abby is a sweet dog. We have had her since 2015 and got her when she was a puppy from a friend. She is approxiametly 10 years old. Abby does well with children, but likes to jump so would not do well with small children. She is super friendly, and gets along well with her pal Gracie, but I am not sure about other dogs. She does chase our cats. She is trained on an invisible fence, housetrained with the occasional accident. For her age, she still has energy! Unfortunately our home has become too busy to give her the attention that she needs. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. She is getting to be older, so an experienced dog owner is a must, especially because of her breed. Thank you for thinking about giving Abby a home.

Story
If you ever wanted a dog who dances for attention, has the cutest floppy ears, and acts like every human is her favorite human, well congratulations! Your search is officially over because Katniss Everdeen is exactly that. She doesn’t just walk into a room, she makes an entrance. Little paw taps, happy wiggles, and a grin that says she absolutely knows how cute she is. Whether she’s dancing her way into your heart or flashing that perfect smile, Katniss Everdeen’s personality is pure joy wrapped in a tiny, fabulous package. Basically, if happiness had floppy ears and signature dance move, it would be Katniss Everdeen. Watch her video and fall in love with this dancing diva: https://youtu.be/5wgxwQLO5Uo?si=4sBUygiJVB1JvGar Katniss Everdeen is believed to be a Beagle mix approximately 5 years old and currently weighs 16 lbs. She is rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Katniss loves people, has the best personality, and thrives on attention, obviously. She’s the kind of pup who wants to be close. Snuggling, cuddling, and handing out sweet kisses like it’s her full-time career. If you’re looking for a dog who truly bonds with her person, Katniss is your girl. What really sets her apart? Her entertainment factor is elite. She loves to “dance” and uses her paws to politely (and adorably) tap you for attention. She knows exactly how to make everyone laugh, and she expects applause. Katniss does great with dogs, big and small! There is no such thing as “too big” for this girl to make doggy friends with. She is a confident little queen and will be friends with any dog, any size. Katniss loves to play with other dogs, romp around, and wrestle. She does take a moment to warm up with new dogs and isn’t the type that is going to instantly want to play, but give her some time and she’ll be playing in no time. Katiniss also isn’t play 24/7. She loves to explore and do her own thing as well. Katniss would do great with a doggy friend that is her happy medium. Playful when the time presents itself and relaxed when it’s time for a nap. Katniss has also met our house cat Biggie and met him appropriately and was very respectful around him. She did not chase Biggie, nor was she bothered by Biggie jumping or doing what cats do. Biggie also felt comfortable around her as well. We do not know if she has ever lived in a home before with a cat and this was our first time seeing her with a cat. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange for her to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know! Katniss is playful, affectionate, funny, and full of love. She’s the kind of dog who makes every day brighter just by being herself and she’s ready to bring that sparkle home for good. We can see her thriving in a home with a backyard, and we also believe she would do beautifully in an apartment or condo. She doesn’t require much exercise, a simple walk around the neighborhood, playtime with her new fur siblings, or time with her human is all she needs. She’s also perfectly happy snuggling on the couch while you binge-watch your favorite show. It doesn’t take much to make her happy. She just wants to be loved, be with her people, and continue being the happy little dancing queen she is. If you’re searching for a small dog with a huge heart, endless charm, and main-character energy, Katniss Everdeen is ready to meet you! We are willing to test Katniss Everdeen with anything you need in order ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
