Story
This adorable boy is Jackson. He is a 2-year-old beagle and weighs 34 lb. He is friendly, confident, social and food motivated. Jackson is a bit more open to new adventures than his sister Willa, but his confidence level rubs off on Willa and helps her join in the fun. Jackson is playful and would enjoy an active lifestyle. Jackson would do great in a home with children of any age. Although he can be adopted separately, he does great with his sister Willa and would love to be adopted with her if possible. Anyone looking for a pair of sweet, adorable beagles will find that Jackson and Willa fit the bill! Jackson is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, healthy and ready for adoption now! His adoption fee is $395. If you would like to meet/adopt Jackson, please complete our online application at https://daws.org/daws-forms. Story
Matey is a sweet little pup who likes to follow his nose! He is 1.5 years old and 20 lbs. Brought into the shelter as a stray, he's now living the good life in his foster home. He lost his right eye to an infection, but as you can see from the photos, that doesn’t affect him living his best life and he's learned to navigate the world just fine. Hopping into the car for a ride or rushing up the stairs is no problem for this guy! Matey needs verbal cues when you approach from his blind side, which is why he would do best in a home with older kids who understand that. He loves to play with dogs and would enjoy a fenced yard to allow his Beagle nose free roam. He is house and crate trained, and a home on the quieter side and with people that are home often would be best. Matey's ideal family will be able to provide structure and routine, and continue to train him on basic commands and verbal cues to compensate for that missing eye. Matey is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines.. Matey is fostered in PA and will be attending our Adoption Event.
