Story
THIS DOG IS NOT WITH SPOTTY DOG RESCUE. WE ARE POSTING HER AS A COURTESY TO ASSIST HER FAMILY IN FINDING A NEW HOME. If you are interested in meeting her, please contact Paul at 860-985-0178 or paulribeiro1219@gmail.com   Meet Neptune! She is a four year old Beagle mix who is healthy, happy, spayed and up to date on all vaccines. This girl loves being outside, going for walks in the woods, chasing a ball, jumping in the leaves, sliding on the snow or laying in the warm sun. Neptune has participated in basic obedience training and is good on the leash and loves car rides.  She is fully housebroken and does not chew on household items at all.  She typically is a calm girl who loves to sleep on her bed and enjoy the day.  Neptune does best in a home with routines and structure. She is very cautious around strangers and is protective of her people and her home. Because of that she should be in a home without other animals or children.  She is a loveable pup that can be silly, loves her belly rubbed and having her fur brushed. Scratching her ears and under her chin are her favorite spots. She would be the perfect companion for someone who just wants that dog who is ready to move in and be your best friend! Please contact Paul if you would like to meet her. ##2591143##

Story
Meet Murphy, a super cute ~10 week old male Beagle mix puppy! He is such a sweet boy! Murphy will be arriving in CT soon and is required to attend our Petco adoption event in Dayville, CT on 5/17. Murphy is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone! Good with dogs, cats, people, and kids. Young puppies are like blank slates who, with proper training and socialization, will grow into wonderful dogs. He is medically up to date (age appropriate). Apply to meet Murphy today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2724180##

Story
Meet Louie — also known as “Fat Louie” or “Bubba Dog” He is courtesty post and is not under Spotty Dog Rescue's care currently, we are assisting Meredith with finding him a new home.  Please contact Meredith merleiso34@gmail.com or  860-682-3735 for more information if you can help. Some dogs come into your life quietly and slowly steal your whole heart. Louie is one of those dogs. His current human took him in about 2 years ago and he is part of the family. Now her landlord is selling the building and the new owner says all pets must go. She cannot afford to move, so she had to make the heartbreaking decision to find Louie a new home. IT IS WRONG! She has tried to negotiate, and failed. Louie needs a savior and we are hoping to help him find it. At about 10 years old and 50 pounds of pure lovable tank, Louie has mastered the art of being the perfect companion. He’s the kind of dog who just wants to be near his people, curled up next to you, tucked under the blankets, or riding shotgun on your next car ride adventure. Louie is also a social butterfly. He absolutely loves the dog park, enjoys meeting new dogs, and is wonderful with children. He’s even fine with cats! If your home already has furry or tiny humans, Louie is more than happy to join the family. Louie is a bit of a foodie… actually, let’s be honest — he’s a BIG foodie. Louie currently enjoys home-cooked meals of ground turkey, mixed veggies, and a little sweet potato or rice. (Yes, he probably eats better than most of us!) He’ll happily snack on bananas, carrots, and blueberries, but fair warning, Louie is clever and sneaky when it comes to unattended plates. If there’s food around, Bubba Dog will try to negotiate a taste! He came to his current home already trained with a beeper collar and has done wonderfully with it. He’s a smart boy who understands his boundaries and has never had an issue using it. What makes Louie extra special however is his personality. He is incredibly funny, affectionate and loves to cuddle. One of his most adorable habits is standing up on his hind legs when you sing to him or when he’s hoping for a treat. It’s impossible not to smile — and even harder not to give him what he wants. Like many senior dogs, Louie has a couple small quirks. He can be a bit of a whiner when he’s hoping for food. He also does not love his nails being cut, but the right person with some confidence can get the job done. But what Louie gives in return is priceless:loyalty, warmth, laughter, and the comfort of a dog who truly just wants to love and be loved. Louie is entering his golden years, and what he needs most now is a home where he can relax, be spoiled, and spend his days doing what he loves best — cuddling, snacking, and being part of a family. If you’re looking for a gentle, funny, affectionate companion who will make your house feel warmer the moment he walks in, Louie may be your perfect match. Give this sweet “Bubba Dog” the soft landing he deserves. Please contact Meredith merleiso34@gmail.com or  860-682-3735 ##2681211##

Good with kids, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
Woof is a very energetic dog, he is very playful and is a sweet dog. He has been known to get overly excited around other dogs that can be perceived as aggressive but he is not an aggressive dog. He loves kids but is clumsy when trying to play with them. He does not understand his own strength so he will knock them down. He loves to run and has a really good appetite. He has not been fully trained but he does have some training. He will sit on command , He will wait until he is told to eat. He is also kind of anxious, so he will sometimes get into mess. Like chewing articles that he should not be chewing on although this is rare he has done it. I give him chew toys so that he doesn't feel compelled to chew things which helps greatly. Understand that this is a hard decision to make giving up woof, I have had him for 3 years But my grandsons; are allergic to dogs and are autistic so it isn't a good thing to have Woof around them it increases their sensory issues.

Story
Bailey has the face of a Beagle and the legs of a gazelle. He is trained to use a pet door and has been accident-free since arriving here. He's a sweet little boy that needs a family who will help boost his confidence. We think he's around 2 years old and he is healthy and ready to travel now. He seems to be afraid of men so a home with females or smaller quiet males would be best for him and another friendly dog would also help him feel more comfortable. If you're interested in welcoming Bailey or any of our Funny Farm friends into your home, please visit funnyfarmpets.org to learn more about our Tennessee-based rescue, the adoption process, the comprehensive vetting procedures these pets undergo before they come to your home, and to submit an adoption application. The adoption fee for this pet is $325, and an additional $200 is required for transport. Currently located in a foster home in Tennessee, this pet will be transported to a northern location after the adoption process is finalized. For details on meeting locations and the transport process, please visit the transport tab at funnyfarmpets.org

This absolutely incredibly gorgeous, ultra sweet baby boy is Tris!!! From the moment he came in, everyone who met him was fawning all over him as he’s just such a doll with his incredible markings, and super sweet temperament!
