I adopted Buddy about two years ago before my daughter went to college. At the shelter where we adopted him he was very calm, sitting patiently in his pen. We were looking for a low energy dog as I am getting older and mobility is an issue. About three days after we adopted him he was in the hospital in intensive care with a significant respiratory illness, that is why he was low energy. Since getting healthy he is not the couch potato i was looking for. His activity level is average but just not what I can do. I think he would be much happier in a household with children and just more going on. He’s a very good boy very food motivated and very sweet. I want the best life for him.He loves to play with other dogs but his brother is an old man who just sleeps. He would love a play mate! We rescued this sweetheart on July 26th from City of Blakely Animal Control. He is a senior beagle who was found in terrible condition. In the last couple of months he has been neutered, had a dental and gone through fast kill heartworm treatment. We let him settle in and he is doing great! Ben was aged at the vet as 7 years old, but we think he might be closer to 7 to 9. He is neutered, micro-chipped, has been treated for heartworms, and is up to date with vaccines and preventatives. He is potty trained, crate trained, dog, kid and cat friendly. He is learning how to walk on a leash and rides well in the car. He is very lazy and loves to eat and sleep He would be great for an older adopter who is looking for a laid back chill dog. He is currently in a loving foster home with a family who has three dogs and three kids.

Coco would do best in a home with another dog to help with his confidence. He is a total sweetheart and is still learning to accept love and affection. He wants to be in the same room with his person, and likes to cuddle and sleep on a pilllow. When company visits, he hides but quickly warms if they don’t make any sudden moves. Coco loves to go on walks! In fact, he barks with excitement when he knows it is time to go for a walk. He likes to walk in quieter areas because noises can make him nervous.
