Our family chose Scout in the winter of 2015 when he was a puppy from a Beagle breeder in central Florida. We chose this specific breeder because they specialized in Lemon color beagles. We bought Scout for our little boy to be his little buddy and boy has Scout been the most loving, loyal, kind, sweet and caring friend to our two children. He is a very special part of our family and we love him very much. Scout is getting much older now as he is 12 years old and is showing signs of slowing down although he still loves to search for lizards and investigate all kinds of smells in the yard. He loves to sit by your feet and be close to you. Our kids are grown now and we are traveling all the time and it is not fair to keep kenneling our sweet Scout so our prayer is for a loving new home for him.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Brucie is a smart boy, very intelligent. He loves his food, and also some chicken and CHEESE, thats his favorite. He's great with other dogs but very shy with humans. In his foster home, he observes the other dogs getting affection, and then he comes up slowly asking for love too. Hes not really a cuddler yet, only sometimes, but that could change over time. When Brucie gets his bursts of energy he will play with toys and run around with the other dogs and play fight with them - and he loves the dog park! Brucie listens to commands and is good when walking on a leash, but likes to walk behind the other dogs. He loves to sleep on his bed and the couch, and only gets on foster mom's bed if he sees the other dogs do it. Brucie needs to continue to gain confidence and clearly other dogs definitely need to be part of his learning process. He is heartworm positive but going through his treatment right now. Unfortunately that means no trips to the dog park for a while. When she first arrived she was shy and unsure, but with time, patience, and gentle reassurance, Darla has truly blossomed and her sweet personality now shines through. She still may take a little time to warm up and has shown preference for women over men at first, but once you've earned her trust she'll be your best bud. She now adores her foster dad and even gives him little hand licks to express her love! Darla is great with kids and loves other dogs. In fact, having canine friends around seems to help her feel more confident so a home with another dog would be welcomed. Darla needs to be in a home with a fenced-in yard where she can safely explore and sniff to her heart's content. Darla is heartworm negative, spayed, and ready for her sleepover. He's a friendly boy who was dropped off at a Louisiana shelter as a stray and he is so happy to be in his foster home! Matty wants to hang out with his humans and be a part of whatever is going on. He loves to cuddle and will do anything for food, including stealing it when you aren’t looking. Housetraining is still a work in progress, but improving. He does well in a crate. Once his foster parents started feeding him in his crate and giving him treats there, he was eager to jump right in. He is mostly quiet, even in the crate. He doesn’t bark unless he's helping the other dogs defend the yard, but even then he is not the instigator. And Matty is good with other dogs, even if they bark and growl at him. He isn’t intimidated, he just keeps going. He loves stuffed toys but occasionally he will get hold of something that isn’t a toy. He is still learning that part of being in a house. If you want a true beagle, he is exactly what you're looking for. Matty is heartworm positive but scheduled for treatment in Louisiana mid-March. He is healthy and asymptomatic so we expect him to do well.
