Story
Honey is a sweet energetic 2-ish yr old beagle/hound mix that was found abandoned on the side of the road with her puppy. She has been fostered for the last several months while finishing heart worm treatment and gaining weight from her extreme malnourishment. Honey loves attention and cuddling. She definitely has a hound nose and loves to go outside to sniff around. She will do best with someone who can match her energetic nature and is patient and will be able to spend time with her focusing on training. It will be best if she does not go to a home with any prey animals (ie. Rabbits) but does very well with other dogs and people. She loves to jump to get close and struggles with respecting boundaries. She is sensitive to loud noises and does not like squeaker toys. She is one of the sweetest dogs I’ve ever met and there is something so pure about her countenance. She will be an amazing addition to the right home.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.ADOPTION PENDINGDuke is a dog who wants to devote himself to his human. Almost every single day either Duke's foster mom or foster dad says, 'Duke is a really good dog!' - because he is! Please be sure to check out the video clip below. He is a well behaved, good looking fellow. Duke has been in his foster home for several months now and his disposition has been exemplary. Although he is definitely into lizards and squirrels his recall is amazingly good and he will run to you and sit down right in front of you. Most often he has a happy grin on his face. He also crates very well as long as there's a promise of at least a small treat for him when he goes in. His crate is where he has his meals and sleeps at night. House training has been excellent from day one. Duke is moderate energy but really needs a fenced yard and he could jump a 4 ft fence easily. He does like to run but also enjoys just lying about surveying his property and watching for the squirrels and lizards! He loves affection and, although he doesn't pester or beg for it, he's ready anytime you are! Duke is wonderful at just curling up next to you on the couch, content to be at your side. He has done well with numerous dogs in his foster home but does better with females and would be just fine as an only dog.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 6, 2024, 1:56 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. His tail wags 24/7. Deacon is a little guy at just 20 lbs and he weighed much less than that when he was found wandering in Georgia. He's got a hearty appetite despite missing almost all of his teeth. In his foster home he is with several other dogs but there is no issue at all with food aggression - he just takes what’s his and leaves the other dogs and their food alone. Deacon appears to be house trained and loves his doggie bed and does well in a crate too. He actually prefers sleeping in a dog bed to sleeping in bed with a human, and he's not particularly comfortable with being picked up. Deacon is heartworm negative and his bloodwork came back looking great. His heart and lungs sounded good and we moved forward with his neuter surgery and a good dental. His coat was so devitalized and he was so itchy that we also gave him a Cytopoint injection and now his coat and skin are looking so much better. Lack of care and poor nutrition are a thing of the past for this happy guy. He is a healthy senior and ready for his forever family.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 6, 2024, 1:56 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Mitzi absolutely loves people and is especially good with children. She is super affectionate, loves to give kisses and a total a lap dog. This pretty little Beagle Chi mix came to us from Alabama where her life was turned upside down when her papa died. She had been well taken care of and well loved, but we have found that Mitzi is very selective in her dog friends and needs a home where she can be the sole provider of dog love. We were able to get some special training for Mitzi with our friends at Procyon Training in Ocala and this has benefited her greatly. Please see her videos below. She is fully vetted and ready for a sleepover! She will love you the minute she meets you.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 6, 2024, 1:56 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.ADOPTION PENDINGMeet Pound Cake, sweetness wrapped in a charming mature lady's demeanor. With a flawless record of no accidents in the house, Pound Cake is the epitome of reliability. When nature calls, she politely comes to get your attention, ensuring her outdoor needs are met promptly. Her day-to-day revolves around simple pleasures, such as peaceful slumbers and soaking up the warm rays of the sun. However Pound Cake has a love for short bursts of exhilarating runs in the yard. While she may not engage in playful antics with other dogs, Pound Cake remains unperturbed by their frolics, preferring instead to observe. One of her favorite pastimes is receiving affection, relishing in the joy of being petted and showered with belly rubs. Typical beagle, Pound Cake's appetite is unwavering, as she eagerly partakes in every mealtime without fail. A testament to her unique personality, she effortlessly combines the unlikely pairing of 'chill' and 'beagle,' proving that age and breed stereotypes are meant to be shattered.Pound cake is negative for heartworms but has received an extensive dental with several extractions and has also had surgeries to remove mammary tumors. She will be ready for sleepover about the second week of April.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 6, 2024, 1:56 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Poppy wants to be a singer in a rock band! The Beaglettes! This girl can sing, so if vocals are not your thing, move on. But here are her endearing qualities besides her singing voice...she LOVES being allowed inside a house...she LOVES to see her people when they come home....she LOVES to sit with her people, to know what they are doing and where they are going. She is definitely very loving and quite comfortable with humans and dogs. Poppy is quiet as a mouse in her kennel whether during the day or night, but when her enthusiasm bubbles up it just comes out in her rock singer voice. She will do anything for a treat. She has just about perfected her house breaking skills. She will stand by the door when she wants out and scratch when she wants back in. Poppy was positive for heartworms but was treated while in Louisiana. She will be arriving in Florida on April 6th and after a few days settling in to her foster home she will be ready for a sleepover.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 6, 2024, 1:56 pm
