Story
We’ve had Elsie since she was a puppy. She is affectionate, is fully house-trained, and knows basic commands. She lives with a cat and is non-aggressive with other dogs. Unfortunately, she does not tolerate our three young children well, which has resulted in her needing to be separated from our kids for the majority of the day. This isn’t a good way for her to live, so we would like to find her a home without children where she can be more integrated into the daily life of the family.

Story
Stop and smell the roses! Meet me, Rose! I'm a lovely and lively young lady who is ready to find her furever home! True to the beagle breed, I'm super vocal about who and what I'm interested in! I'm an excitable girl who is interested in a family that can help me learn some boundaries with spaces and people. I'd love a home where kids are over 3, just because I love to climb all over my people and I can get a a bit too excited, as well as mouthy, which I need help curbing. I am not fully housebroken so training is in order too. I promise I am well worth the effort because I have a big heart and years of companionship to share. I think I'd do well with other pets with a proper slow introduction. I am the prettiest rose in the shelter bouquet so come on over and meet me soon!---Our facility is open daily from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM, meet and greet appointments are highly recommended. If you are interested in meeting an animal please contact us via email at Lancaster@pspca.org to learn more about our adoption process and to set a meet and greet appointment.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.King is one amazing hound looking for his happily ever after! This 6 year old, 23 pound long legged beagle is a loyal snuggle bug. He loves his food, being read bedtime stories, snuggling, and running around with his furry friends. King loves people, but he also has a history of escaping so he needs a strict leash use policy or a secure fenced yard in his forever home. He also prefers dogs his size or smaller, since male dogs bigger than him tend to be intimidating. This handsome boy also loves to be a lap dog and when he is being needy he will jump into your arms to be carried like the King he is. This boy is one special hound and will make a lucky family the perfect addition. King did test positive for Lyme disease and has been treated with Doxycycline. To adopt King, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. The $350 adoption donation ($250 for senior citizens 65+) includes core vaccines ( Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordatella), Accuplex (Heart worm and Lyme test), fecal, microchip, bloodwork, neuter, dental and all the love you can handle!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 6, 2023, 7:52 am

Story
Sadie Ann is the clumsiest pup, and even came into the world backwards! She tumbles over her own feet and is still working on figuring out that the back feet can't go faster than the front ones! Sadie loves to be held will fuss to be picked up if she feels like she hasn't gotten her turn soon enough. She is a big lovebug and likes to be right by your side. Sadie is very food motivated and will do anything for a snack. She loves quality time learning basic training with her foster mom. All puppies have had their first two rounds of vaccines, have been dewormed, microchipped and have clean bills of health. Their adopters will be required to sign a 6-month spay/neuter contract and pay a refundable $250 deposit.

Story
Lola came to us ahead of Hurricane Dorian. While most of her friends have found their forever homes, she is still waiting for the perfect home! She is a sweet girl with people, but aggressive towards other dogs and cats. She would do best in a home with no other animals or young children. She promises to give you all the love you need! She is a great walking partner and should be easily house-trained. Her ideal home would be a quiet environment with one or two people to relax with. Lola has special medical needs. Please see our adoption coordinator for details
