Teddy is a loving 6½-year-old Beagle/English Bulldog mix I’ve had since he was 18 weeks old. Due to a recent divorce and working 10–16 hour days, I can no longer give him the time and attention he deserves. My priority is finding him a home where he can thrive.He’s healthy, in great shape, and his only past medical issue was an ear infection that has been fully resolved. His vaccinations are about six months overdue due to financial hardship following my divorce.Teddy is affectionate with people and does well with other animals. The only behavior to be aware of is food guarding. There have been two incidents over his lifetime where he reacted to another dog approaching his food bowl. Because of this, he should be fed separately from other pets or continue working on this behavior with training.I’d love to see him in a home with room to roam and someone who has the time to enjoy him. There is no adoption fee—I only want to find him a safe, loving, permanent home.

It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). Rollie was surrendered after his owner died. He had never lived inside until he came into rescue. He is now house and crate trained. He does love to run and play and hide his bones outside. He had very little socialization with other dogs and is a little dog selective (prefers females more than males). He's more of a loner than most. He has always been crated inside to avoid the mischief a beagle tends to get into with chewing items he isn't supposed to be chewing. It is more for his safety of not swallowing anything harmful. He will bark to let you know when he needs to go potty. He has been completely vetted. He deserves a home of his own to retire in and enjoy the rest of his life. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions.
