She is shy at first, but once she feels comfortable, her sweet personality shines through. It does take time, so she is looking for someone who is patient and able to help her decompress gradually. This lovely girl is potty trained, though she is displaying some marking behaviors when she smells other dogs. We are hopeful her upcoming spay will end that. She is comfortable with just a few (1-2) steps down from the house—she’s still building confidence with full flights of stairs, and her future family can help her continue that journey at her own pace. Hi, my name is Starla and I am from Arkansas! Starla is a total sweetheart! She loves to cuddle on the sofa just as much as she loves to chase balls and wrestle with our other dog. She is still learning a lot and she approaches new experiences with a cautious confidence. Starla does great with our dog and cat and has been very gentle when meeting new people. Overall, Starla is a STAR! She deserves a family who will love her as much as she will love them back. From the foster: Starla is still learning to be independent and cries if you leave the room. This may get better with time, but she may do well with someone who is home often or even works from home. She also is still working on her leash skills and I recommend a harness. If she sees a squirrel she will chase.

Rowdy is curious in new situations, but life up until recently, hasnt been kind to her..... so she will need time to get comfortable and then her true goofy nature will emerge! Like a butterfly, Rowdy is a much different pup than when she 1st came to us from the pound, with no hope of getting out :( UNTIL the rescue chick saw me and knew i was a diamond in the RUFF ;) Rowdy needs a patient home who will give her time to warm up, open up & trust. Older kids only would be best for her and a fully fenced yard is a must. Until she settles in she'll be an escape risk. An apartment would work for Rowdy as well.
