Rollie was surrendered after his owner died. He had never lived inside until he came into rescue. He is now house and crate trained. He does love to run and play and hide his bones outside. He had very little socialization with other dogs and is a little dog selective (prefers females more than males). He's more of a loner than most. He has always been crated inside to avoid the mischief a beagle tends to get into with chewing items he isn't supposed to be chewing. It is more for his safety of not swallowing anything harmful. He will bark to let you know when he needs to go potty. He has been completely vetted. He deserves a home of his own to retire in and enjoy the rest of his life. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Toby is a handsome beagle pup who is coming to us through our owner surrender program…his mom realized she is gone too long during the day to give a young pup what he needs. Besides being a beautiful young boy, Toby is sweet, energetic, and loves to run and play with other dogs. He is good in the car and for baths, good with children he has met on walks, and good on leash. Although he is mostly well behaved when left alone, he is still a puppy and does like to chew on an occasional shoe or wire. Toby will bark at other dogs to try to get them to play and will also bark at cats he encounters, but does not bark when left alone. And he has a great beagle howl! He knows how to sit on command and we think would love to learn more. He is pee pad trained but will also do his business outside. Overall, Toby is a wonderful, precious pup who would love a home where he would spend a little less time alone and could get a little more attention. He is here in NJ ready to meet you! Toby will be brought up to date on all vaccines, tested for heartworm, and will be microchipped. He has been neutered. His adoption fee is $600. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. I rescued Obi in May 2023, I remembered his bio mentioned him purposely abandoned by his first owner. you can tell by the look he gives anyone that this dog is a dependent baby. As of the time of writing this, I trust him more than my 2 year old nephew. He's been by my side ever since I had him, but his most loving characteristic is slowly becoming my biggest struggle as a dog parent. My household was once bigger when I got him, but as years moved on, my siblings moved out, my grandparents are slowly leaving, and my focus on my career path is only growing. Soon I fear this dog that loves to smell the life outdoors and be around familiar loving people he can trust to share space with, would have to live In a house that has nothing but waisted time, dread. I'm hoping to see an young family who would love an opportunity to continue, as it would be my pleasure to find the most for obi. If you live in the tri-state area, I would be willing to deliver this lovable dog to you myself.
