Story
Found as a stray who was never claimed, it would seem that she had been previously abused. She was first adopted by an elderly lady who said that she was afraid of her cane at first. She became comfortable and happy at her house, only this elderly lady is now in hospice care and needs to rehome her. Except for going to the vet's offices, Chelsea is not accustomed to being away from the lady's house..She has enjoyed playing with other foster dogs, but occasionally, can be bossy and dominant with them. She is initially skittish and shy, but warms quickly. As such, she would be a flight risk, so would recommend double-leashing her and having a secure, fenced yard. She loves to run back inside for a treat; is well crate-trained....Although she enjoys sleeping with someone, more recently, she has slept in her crate.....is very food and treat motivated. Is an even prettier dog in person, who deserves a lot of love... NO YOUNG CHILDREN. FENCED YARD REQUIRED; VET'S REFERENCE REQUIRED.February 18, 2025, 3:19 am

Story
**PLEASE BE SURE YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT WHEN REQUESTING AN APPLICATION 5-15-25: "Are you looking for the BEST Beagle around? Yes? Well, here I am!! Thanks for stopping in to learn all about me....my name is FRASIER, and I ended up at this great rescue, when the local Animal Control put a plea out, and my Foster Mom came and got me! You see, I ended up there when my trusty Beagle nose got me into a little bit of trouble! I was out looking for love and found myself trying to hook up with some sweet females. Well, that didn't end well, and Animal Control picked me up, where I stayed for about a week. I am about 6 to 7 years old, weighing in at 28 pounds, have my vaccines and rabies, but am scheduled to be neutered in the coming days. I will also get my 2nd DAPP booster at the time. Due to my previous owner not having me on monthly heartworm prevention, my test came back positive, so I have started my slow kill method, which is 30 days of doxycycline, a Proheart12 injection, and then a retest in 6 months (Nov 2025). I am a light positive, so I know this treatment should do its job and I will be negative in no time! This issue is not bothering me at all! I am a happy boy, who gets along with other dogs, but cats and children are unknown. With me being a purebred Beagle, you know my motto: "Nose to the ground, I won't be around!", so Mom is asking for a SECURE FENCED YARD for me--I love to explore and take in all the smells the world has to offer! I am the process of showing my Mom how my house manners are, but I have been doing my business outside like a pro! My crate is clean and dry too! Oh, and since I am a Beagle, I do howl/bay, BUT I am not overly loud!! Mom says I am the perfect gentleman!" "Well, I hope my information sounds intriguing to you, and you'll want to meet me! Just email my Mom at citizens4animals@yahoo.com, and she'll send you an application right out!!" Love, FRASIER, The Regal Beagle **GOOD VERIFIABLE VET REFERENCE REQUIRED!!**

Story
Claire is a Beagle mix girl.  The vet estimated her year of birth as 2015, but this little girl still has some puppy energy.  She would be a great addition to any home. Because she's a little older, she would probably be better with older children. She's playful, but would be a great snuggle bunny, too. ~~ Adoption donation $200 . All vetting is up to date. Microchipped and spayed. Also on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Story
Lollie is a female Border Collie/ Beagle mix.  Her vet estimated date of birth is March of 2024.  She has lots of playful energy.  She's crate trained and doing great with house training.  She's good with other dogs with proper introductions.  She thinks cats as a great game, so no cats.  She's kind with kids, but jumps on them. She just needs someone who will take the time and patience to teach her obedience training in order to be the best pup she can be. ~~ Adoption donation $ 300. All vetting is up to date.
