Dasher is a low rider and around 41 lbs--he is short but mighty.  We were told he is not a fan of kids by the family that found him.  SO we suggest a home without children.  It is unknown how he is with cats.  He has a chronic issue with his leg and will likely, at some point, need to be on meds for arthritis. Based on what our vet told us he was likely injured and the injury healed on it's own with out medical intervention. (he ran for nearly a month before he landed at the finders home so it is unknown what may have happened in that time frame)--we suspect he may have been struck by a car or possibly kicked by a horse.   He limps on occasion and it should be monitored as he ages.  ***it took the finder several days to get him to warm up to them before they called us. He does like to go for walks, and can be playful. He is neutered, vaccinated, wormed, tested negative for heartworm, and is microchipped. Dasher likes some dogs but can be selective, so a meet and greet is necessary and must be scheduled in advance.  He would likely do well in a low key quiet home----although he is still active.  If you have interest please call the shelter to schedule an appt or stop in during regular business hours to walk through the kennel.  Morrow County Dog Shelter, Mt. Meet Khalifa!! He came in as a stray with his buddy, Wiz, on 8/22/26. We think he is about 4 years old. He came in with double entropian eye, but had surgery to correct it. He is a sweet and gentle guy. He is available for adoption so hurry in to meet him! Khalifa is located at the Richland County Dog Shelter in Mansfield, OH. **UPDATE** I HAVE BOTH OF THEM UP TO DATE ON SHOTS AND BOTH HAVE COME BACK WITH A NEGATIVE HEARTWORM TEST!! This is Bob (tan male) and Boba (black female) they are 5yr beagle labs mix together since birth neither of them are fixed I would be willing to split the cost of the procedure if necessary. I have not had the opportunity to have them around other animals so I dont know how they would be but they are spectacular around kids I am looking to rehome them because they are just not living the doggy dream with us my family dynamic has changed over the last year and it is not giving the love and time these dogs deserve. Meet Carly. Carley is a mixed breed pup (possibly some shepherd, beagle, puggle, lab??) thought to be around 10 weeks old. Carly and her sister were dumped from a car in the front yard of a nice family who kept them safe until a rescue volunteer could pick them up. In spite of this unfortunate event, Carly is a happy little girl. She likes to climb up into her foster mom’s lap and give lots of puppy kisses! She is a bundle of energy, but is sometimes a little shy. She loves to run and play with her sister and the other dogs in her foster home. She is still a little intimidated by the bigger dogs, but is warming up to them. She is just learning about toys. She is working on potty training and basic commands, and does well in a crate overnight. If you would like to meet Carly, go to ricopetrecovery.org and complete the adoption application.The adoption fee for Carly is $375 and includes two sets of vaccines, the spay surgery and a microchip at our partner veterinarian when she is old enough for surgery. The adopter is responsible for all remaining vaccines.
