Meet Paddy!! He came in as a stray on 6/15/26. We think he is about a year old. He is a friendly and fun guy. You will need your track shoes laced up and ready to go. He is a bundle of energy and he is fast. He will keep you on your toes for sure. He is available for adoption so hurry in to meet him! Meet Khalifa!! He came in as a stray with his buddy, Wiz, on 8/22/26. We think he is about 4 years old. He came in with double entropian eye, but had surgery to correct it. Dasher is a low rider and around 41 lbs--he is short but mighty. We were told he is not a fan of kids by the family that found him. SO we suggest a home without children. It is unknown how he is with cats. He has a chronic issue with his leg and will likely, at some point, need to be on meds for arthritis. Based on what our vet told us he was likely injured and the injury healed on it's own with out medical intervention. (he ran for nearly a month before he landed at the finders home so it is unknown what may have happened in that time frame)--we suspect he may have been struck by a car or possibly kicked by a horse. He limps on occasion and it should be monitored as he ages. ***it took the finder several days to get him to warm up to them before they called us. He does like to go for walks, and can be playful. He is neutered, vaccinated, wormed, tested negative for heartworm, and is microchipped. Dasher likes some dogs but can be selective, so a meet and greet is necessary and must be scheduled in advance. He would likely do well in a low key quiet home----although he is still active. Not sure where to begin bragging about Hazel! Amazing doesn’t even begin to describe her. This little girl is blessed with eternal bliss. Hazel is always ready with her gorgeous smile, a happy dance, and a big jump to greet you. She loves giving kisses and doggie hugs, and her joyful spirit is just contagious! Even if you had a bad day, seeing her makes you forget the day you had 😊Hazel loves to tag along wherever you go. Watching her happily trot beside you on walks is quite a joyful sight. Her mouth wide open, smiling and trotting along. She’s still learning her leash skills and may zigzag a bit, but she doesn’t pull. Hazel LOVES toys. She’ll happily carry one around and entertain herself, although she’s still learning that toys don’t have to disappear when people come near. We recommend an exchange system with Hazel to ease her hesitation. She must have been teased a lot with toys in her past 😕 Hazel is not much of a fetcher. She runs for the ball, picks it up and runs around with it in her mouth. Hazel is about 1-1.5 years old, 19lb, Beagle/Lab mix. She is looking for a semi-active family with another playful four-legged friend or older kids who will enjoy her happy-go-lucky personality. The family must love doggie hugs and cuddles 😊

Meet Storm! 🐾 Storm is an adult beagle with plenty of energy and a playful personality. Like many beagles, she enjoys staying active and loves having a job to do, especially if it involves chasing after a ball. Smart, curious, and full of enthusiasm, Storm would do well with a family ready to keep her engaged through play, walks, and attention. With time to settle in and burn off some energy, she is sure to make a fun and loyal companion. Update: Storm has now graduated from the GRC program! While at GRC she received one-on-one training, including working on her basic commands. Her trainer reports Storm is very affectionate and eager to please, and played great with other dogs. When she is tired out, she loved to sleep at her trainer's feet, and under a blanket if available! The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A meet-and-greet is required for all shelter dogs if you already have a dog.
