Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Popper is an adorable Beagle with a nose that never quits and a heart full of joy. Like a true beagle, he loves snoofing around the field, following exciting scents wherever they lead, and zooming around with happy, floppy-eared enthusiasm. Running and playing are some of his favorite pastimes, especially when he has toys to toss or another dog to chase around. His foster family says he’s the bestest boy, and it’s easy to see why — Popper is ready to bring love, fun, and endless tail wags to his forever home. REQUIREMENTS: Fenced Yard, Another fur buddy Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop! I come from the south in a place where dogs are just dogs.  We weren't being treated very nicely so they came and got us thank goodness but then we were in a high kill shelter and that is scary too!!!  Lucky for us 2nd Chance came down to pick up some other lucky dogs and the staff asked if they would take me and Vivian and they said YES YIPEEEEE we were really excited so we hitched a ride to the North and now we are staying in this really nice foster home with a big fenced yard and they let us sleep on these things called "furniture" and they give us good food and we get to do this thing called snuggling with them ahhhh life is sooooo much better!!!! If you would like to meet me and Vivian fill out an application and lets make a date to play :) Cassie & Vivian Bonded PairVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. Apple is a lovable little companion who enjoys both playtime and quiet moments. She’ll happily chase toys one minute and curl up in a soft bed for a nap the next. Apple adores being near her people, following them around and soaking up attention, but she’s also happy doing her own thing sometimes. She gets along well with other dogs and seems comfortable around cats. Apple will thrive in a home with a furry friend to share her days with and a securely fenced yard to explore REQUIRES - Fenced yard another dog her size to run with   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. Puddin is a super sweet, energetic dog who loves nothing more than playing and running in wide enclosed space. She would thrive with an active family who can keep up with her playful spirit and love for adventure. Puddin enjoys the company of other dogs, so she definitely needs a canine companion in her home. She isn’t fond of cats, so a cat-free home would be best. With plenty of exercise, love, and playtime, Puddin is ready to be a joyful and loyal part of her forever family.
