Story
Raynor would love to find his forever home for the holidays! He has a heart of gold. While he had a rough start as a stray in Isle of Wight County and still has a bit of anxiety with humans, he has come a LONG way and flourishes in a home with another canine companion. Raynor is a social butterfly who absolutely loves doggie daycare and the dog park. On walks, he has an endearing habit: he'll proudly pick up a random stick, regardless of its size (from 3 inches to 3 feet), and carry it with him like a trophy. Beyond his unique walking style and enthusiastic hellos, he's a generally quiet companion. ?Greets you at the door with the cutest “aroo” ?Sleeps like he works the nightshift ?Foster mama will babysit for free Raynor will require a patient home that will give him the time to decompress but also put in the work to show him people are kind. Story
Viola is a beautiful soul that we think is about 3 year old  and a Beagle mix girl. This black and white beauty with adorable speckled legs and a sweet She only weighs 20 lbs and has the sweetest smile and absolutely loves people. She was found as a stray that was taken to the shelter very scared and almost shutdown while there. Her human mother died and Viola is now 5 years old. Unfortunately we don’t really know her story, but we feel there is some trauma there in her past. It takes her a little bit to get used to people and even longer for dogs. She wants a safe place to observe (wire crate suggested)  till she figures it out. Her foster kept her behind a gate and her bed was her safe place. For a few days she would growl through the gate at the other dogs but after that it was over. We would leave the gate open and she would venture out and if she got nervous she would go back to her safe place. She is never ugly to the other dogs at her foster and  if one of the Chihuahuas was mean to her,  she just ignored her. We have her using puppy pads because there is  no fenced yard. Viola would definetly need a fenced yard so she can safely explore and have potty breaks. The outdoors makes her nervous still. She loves her people immensely and adores  kids but older ones are best.  If you want to help and REALLY rescue a dog them Viola would be forever indebted to you.    If you are interested please email at ccrtennessee@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 29, 2025, 1:51 pm

Story
They are so tiny we had to split “itty-bitty” into two names.Meet Itty and Bitty - two-year-old pocket-sized Beagles ready to fill your heart to bursting.Itty (male) and Bitty (female) came from an overcrowded rural shelter. Their past isn’t known, but its shadow is dark. They shy away from people, and when cornered, they crouch low as if expecting the worst. But as our Beagle fans know - NOTHING can keep a Beagle down! Beagles are joy, curiosity, comic timing, love and loyalty, topped off with floppy ears. With patience and safety, Itty and Bitty's sparks will catch.Itty and Bitty are NOT BONDED and can be adopted separately. Each feels most at ease with other dogs, so a steady “helper pup” could make their transition easier. Itty is heartworm-positive, but Animal Aid covers all treatment costs, even after adoption.Come meet them and see what we see: two tiny souls ready to learn that life can be safe, people can be kind, and home can be forever.Animal Aid Society is located at 80 Butler Farm Road, Hampton. Visiting hours are 9am to noon daily, including weekends and holidays.*Needs a home with a securely fenced yard.Interested? Come for a visit any day of the week - 365 days a year between 9am - 12pm. Hope to see you soon!PLEASE NOTE: Animal Aid Society observes a 40 mile adoption radius to facilitate post adoption support and follow ups.
