Story
Meet Peppa   Peppa is a 15lb spayed female beagle mix estimated to be around 7 years old. She is up for adoption through Beagles to the Rescue in Chesapeake, VA (our adoption area is within 1.5 hours of zip code 23322).    Peppa is a sweet cuddly girl, she is the perfect mix of wanting to be held and doing her own thing. She loves to go for walks, and is great with other dogs, cats and kids. She rides well in the car, is crate trained, and has great house manners.    Peppa does have allergies and her new family will need to be prepared to keep up with medicated baths, giving pills, and taking her to the vet if she is having a flare up. She is doing so much better than she was when she arrived with us a few months ago (see before and after photos).    She is fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, however she is positive for Ehrlichia (a tick borne illness) but she is not showing any symptoms, has received treatment and has been positive for several years.    Peppa has such an amazing personality and would love a place in your heart and on your sofa. If you would like to learn more about Peppa give us a call at 757-447-7773 or check out our website at https://www.beaglestotherescue.org/bttr-adoption-info April 26, 2024, 12:03 am

Story
This boy is ready for anything you are. He is just happy to be with his person be it walking, camping, chilling, or sunning in the yard. By far one of the quietest Beagles I've ever had. He does have a big boy bark and a melodious bay when he chooses to demonstrate it, which is almost unanimously for food! Not a picky eater this fella and will order dinner right off the counter (which he is trying hard hard hard not to do anymore!) He sits..yes a Beagle that sits and takes his treats gently. He does need a slow feeder because his fear of being hungry is still present. A snuggler and a gentleman this boy is. He welcomes any and everyone into the home with a happy face and wagging tail. He is completely unbothered by the house cat and kitten. River would do well with a canine friend or be the King bee of his castle. And finally, after just a brief training River is successfully house trained. He does the doggy door like a Champion. Being food motivated was definitely working in his favor! So come get this happy go lucky boy! You will not regret the love and attention he so freely offers!

Story
Clooney is an 8 year old Beagle, Hound mix looking for a new home.  He is used to being the only dog in the house and has not been properly socialized, therefore does not do well sharing with other dogs.  Clooney needs training with positive reinforcement.  He likes his people and makes a great companion.  He is a Hound that follows his nose so he will need leash walks or a fenced area to roam in.  If you can help with fostering this handsome guy until we can find him a great new home, please let us know.  ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 10, 2024, 9:09 am

Story
Silly Lil Stella is a young, perfect sized, medium girl that has the best smile and the most fun personality.  This white nugget is believed to be a Beagle/Greyhound mix who is only 18 months old and 34 pounds.  Stella is super cuddly and loving and looks much smaller than her weight suggests.  She is light and wispy and easy to have on your lap and does so well with other companion dogs and cats in the home.  She is housebroken and crate trained and was found as a stray that needed a helping hand.  She would be a great companion for a single person or young couple or even empty nesters.  She will need physical exercise outlets daily and would thrive learning new commands and dog manners.  If you are interested in this girl, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 10, 2024, 9:09 am
