Story
Have you ever seen a cuter more unique face than Mr. Prancer’s? I didn’t think so! He is so handsome and has the most beautiful unique eyes that look into your soul. The cutest thing about him though is his subtle little underbite. It’s hardly noticeable but at the right angle you’ll catch his bottom teefers peeping out and its adorable. Watch his video here: https://youtu.be/DBl51jqaX1E Mr. Prancer is a petite Lab mix and maybe even a little beagle in there too because of his face shape, he is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery. He is approximately 1 years old and only weighs 34 lbs and he’s fully grown! He’a the perfect size, not too big and not too small. Mr. Prancer is a little awkward shy fella at first when meeting new people, he’s still just a baby and probably hasn’t had the best interactions so far but when you look into his eyes they are filled with so much love and trust. He’ll do best with a family that will continue to build his confidence and help him be the best doggy citizen he can be. Once he opens up and bonds with his people he is such a cute and loving little guy and will rest his head on your lap and you’ll find his tail never stops wagging. He has a very innocent personality and I just love him. Mr. Prancer is very dog friendly and would actually do best in a home with another doggy friend. He met up to 6 different dogs all at once big and small and loved meeting all of them. When two dogs were playing rough and running around he would “prance” alongside them almost like he didn’t know how to get them to play with him. The more he romped around the the dogs the more you could see his confidence building and engaging with play with the other dogs. He also really liked the water and didn’t mind sharing the pool with his new friends. Mr. Prancer does need to work on his leash skills, he likely has never been walked on a leash before and will need someone who will be patient and see him through his leash struggles as he pancakes on the ground. To our knowledge, Mr. Prancer is crate trained and potty trained but may need a reminder for where the appropriate potty places are once he arrives at his forever home. Mr. Prancer would do best in a home with other moderately playful dogs like him with a backyard where they can romp around and play. Althoug he is young, he is not very hyper and what we consider medium energy. A good romp in the backyard and leisurely walk in the neighborhood (once his leash skills are better) is all this little guy needs. We are willing to test Mr. Prancer with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Sweet & Sassy! Magnolia is a fun package of love and joy. She instantly took to her foster's home with the other dogs. She loves to run, play and frolic in the yard. Magnolia is a happy girl. Her foster mom works long hours and Magnolia is okay with that. Her size makes sure that a backyard is enough exercise for her. Magnolia currently lives with other dogs bigger and smaller than herself and is doing great. She is good in a crate and currently working on polishing her potty skills. We know Magnolia will make a great dog for any home. Story
Pua was born 3/30/2018 from a breeder called Cosand Family Breeders and is a 5 year old Beagle. We got him from a friend who needed a new family as his original owner was deployed. We have had him for three years and it’s been great; however, our schedules are becoming so busy and we are not able to give the attention to Pua as much as he deserves. He would be an incredible hunting dog. He loves long walks and is a great companion, but has issues with pulling on a leash as hounds are known to follow their nose and just go. He only needs two walks a day and then he’s content laying down in his bed.

Story
This delight full little girl is looking to find that forever family she has always dreamed of. Dixie came to the shelter as an owner surrender because she was barking to much. From what we have seen at the shelter if her needs are not being met or she is scared of something she will just let you know. She is your typical little girl hound, she doesn't stop moving but she loves to play with other dogs. She has a very sweet playstyle and will do well in a home with a male companion that is playful, and willing to show her the ropes of what real life is like.Dixie is a little shy when she meets new people but give her about 10-15 minutes and she will be your best friend in no time. Her small size makes her a great dog for that family that is looking for a medium size dog. She is only about 32lbs. From what we can gather she is about 9 months old and has already found her way through 4 homes. Lets make this Dixies last stop where she can find a forever home that is going to be committed to this little girl for her life. She already walks great on a leash. She likes to play a little fetch, but is also happy just running around sniffing like hounds do. We don't know what she is going to be like with cats, but if she is true to her breed she will more than likely want to chase. This little girl isn't going to be a couch potatoe, she is going to need daily exercise both mentally and physically. If you are intersted in meeting Dixie we ask that you please email adoption@columbiahumane.org in order to obtain an adopiton application. Once you have an application on file we will then schedule a time for you to come and meet her. Please note that Dixie is not going to be a good dog for an apartment. Her adoption fee is $250.00 this will include her being current on all her vaccinations, being treated for fleas, treated for worms, microchipped and spayed. For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgOctober 2, 2023, 7:23 am
