Story
Bjorn here! I'm a young and enthusiastic Beagle with plenty of love to give! I'm an affectionate and friendly pup, but I also have a curious side and love to explore. I'm always up for a good play session, but I also enjoy getting cozy and cuddly with my favourite humans. Just look at my adorable face - I'm sure you can tell I'm a lovable pooch! Even though I'm just 1.5 years old, I've already had a bit of a rough start in life. I was adopted by a family who thought I'd be the perfect companion for their toddler, but between both parents working and a new baby, they didn't have enough time to give me the attention and training I needed. I was left alone for long periods of time, which made me anxious and scared. But now, I'm in a wonderful foster home where I get to play with other dogs and learn all the basics. I'm quickly learning how to be a well-behaved and loving companion, and I'm excited to find my forever home where I can continue to thrive and bring joy to my new family. Here's what you need to know about me: - I'm affectionate and love getting belly rubs and snuggles - I'm athletic and curious, always eager to explore and investigate - I'm friendly to everyone I meet, including kids and other dogs - I may have some separation anxiety initially. If you want a young man like me, I'd love to meet you! Because of his history, we are looking for an adoption who has the time to invest in Bjorn so that he will succeed. Because of this, older children would be ok but probably not the best for under age 5. We promise Bjorn that we will find a family where he will get all the attention and love he needs (and training!)! (We marked Bjorn as "neutered" because he has an appointment on the books!) Adoption fee includes microchip, neuter, all vaccinations.

Story
Brave, strong, beautiful- that’s how Valentina’s foster family describes her. She is all of the above, she is also obedient, smart, loyal, loving, affectionate, cat and dog friendly, and such a bright spirit! Valentina is a beagle mix of some sort- she is a rescue, so age and breed are just best guesses! We estimate Valentina to be around 1 year old, still young enough to train and socialize from the ground up, but grown out of the terrors that puppyhood can bring. Watch Valentina here: https://youtu.be/tA11VzjBHhE?si=F_vBuvCUXubGcotz Valentina is great with other dogs, here at the rescue she was a little bit shy with other pups at first, in a brand new environment with brand new dogs, but very friendly! She knows when and how to exit an interaction, and didn’t bat an eye at other dogs getting up close and personal with her. With kitties, Valentina is amazing! A total sweetheart, she showed no reactivity or prey drive with our house cat, Tom. See Valentina’s cat test for yourself in her video. Valentina also lives with cats in her foster home. With humans, Valentina is so gentle, sweet and loving. She is a very social pup that warms up to new humans quickly. She likes to give little kisses, and she’s so snuggly- this girl will find a way to be touching you, no matter the situation. In our time together, she spent a lot of time standing quietly with her side touching my leg, or sitting in my lap, or extending one paw to touch my leg as we sat on the ground together. She is very confident though, not overly needy, she just enjoys human affection! Playtime with Valentina is soooo cute and fun, she likes to play fetch, chomp on stuffies, or play “find the treat.” This cutie has a SNIFFER on her, she found lots of unclaimed treats around the rescue. She would probably appreciate puzzle toys and sniff mats! Valentina is so calm for her age, no rambunctious outbursts, barking or pacing. She’s all about being in the present moment, connecting with the humans around her, and enjoying all that rescue doggy life is. She’s good on leash, she has great house manners, and here at the rescue, didn’t have any accidents in the house. She rides easily in the car, and she’s so social, friendly and loving with new humans that bringing her out and about will be easy! Valentina also did well in her crate here at the rescue, and does well in her crate at her foster mom’s house. Valentina has not been kid tested yet, but we suspect she’ll do just fine with little ones. She’s so gentle and sweet, loyal and affectionate. Valentina’s perfect home has at least one loving human to call her own. She’s small and quiet enough to do well in an apartment, people-focused enough to do well as a solo-dog, but good enough with other dogs to do well as one of many. Valentina has been cat tested and could happily live with dog-savvy kitties. She’s not very picky about her forever home, she just hopes to find it soon! Valentina is a dream dog. So so so cute, affectionate, naturally happy and well behaved. Dogs like this are once-in-a-lifetime, and with a face that cute- Valentina will likely be adopted fast! If you’re interested in Valentina, we are willing to test her with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen- just let us know. With any specific questions, please reach out to her adoption coordinator, whose email is linked below. Don’t wait to apply for this cutie pie, fill out your application today! Story
Nash is the epitome of the term companion dog- an affectionate cuddle bug who is a joy to be around thanks to his calm-nature and easy-going personality. Watching him rub his face on the rug or stand on his back two legs like a little person is enough to cure any bit of blues you could ever have! Add on that he is easy on leash, good with other dogs, respectful of cats, and of course a downright cutie, and I don’t think it gets more perfect! Nash has been fortunate to spend his time waiting for his adoption day in a foster home, giving her a head start on becoming an excellent house dog. Nash’s foster family has shared that he is a delight! He hasn’t quite earned the title of shadow dog but he loves to tag along and see what his people are up to. He stays out of the way but likes to be there in case you need his help with something. They shared that he usually starts the night sleeping alone but often ends up in bed with the rest of the family by morning. One of Nash’s favorite activities is going on walks. He eagerly looks forward to exploring the neighborhood and getting his daily dose of exercise. Bonus, he is easy on leash! His size and good manners make him a great walking companion! Nash’s foster family has several other dogs and he plays well with them. He gravitates to the girl dogs, one is a similar size to him and the other is larger, which is common for male dogs. If he is in the company of dogs that are a bit rowdy, which isn’t his style, he will just wander off on his own. He is incredibly content and self-entertaining when need be. Nash would thrive in a home that can help him continue to grow through training and socializing, along with a healthy dose of attention, love, and snuggles. If there are other dogs in the home, ideally they would be playful but aloof and not pushy about interaction. With the right guidance, Nash is sure to be a loyal and delightful companion. Though Nash gives us the impression he may be a Pittie/Beagle Mix, he also has made us wonder if there is some chihuahua mixed in there given his size. Weighing a cute 25 lbs fully grown he is the perfect to-go size guy. Nash is a wonderful dog who is full of love, an obvious good boy, a true lover, and the perfect addition to any home. Story
Meet Delta, the shy girl who is absolutely worth getting to know. Delta is an itty-bitty thing, maybe some pittie in there, maybe some beagle, we can’t be sure given its rescue but at 32 lbs, she is a petite thing with the softest doe eyes. Estimated to be 1.5 years old, we believe she is fully grown, and her calm, gentle nature makes her an absolute dream of a companion. Though a bit shy at first, she warms up quickly, revealing such a sweet and adoring personality. Delta was introduced to a handful of dogs to gauge her interest and playfulness with other dogs. Overall, she’s a bit cautious at first but relaxes around calm, respectful dogs. Her ideal doggie companion would be a laid-back to moderately playful pup who enjoys lounging just as much as playtime. Her loving and easy-going nature makes her the perfect fit for almost any home—whether it’s a house with a yard or an apartment. She will need to polish up her leash skills but with you by her side and a bit of practice she will be making you so proud. The skills will be there and it will no doubt solidify such a beautiful connection. She may whine briefly when you leave, but as she settles into her forever home, that will fade. When introduced to a cat, Delta was cautiously curious but gave the kitty space, showing she could easily live with a feline friend. Delta is a sweetheart, whether she is your one-and-only soaking up the love, or your dogs new +1. She is going to be a loving, adoring companion for anyone she shares this life with. Adopt her before she’s snatched up—she’s a gem! Senior for a Senior that loves walks! Please contact us to submit an application directly at Kzyrnr17@yahoo.com or info@dogdiggityrescue.com Jelly Bean is a 7 yr old 9 mos and 32 lb Retriever/Beagle mix. Her mom that had her for 6 years had to leave her behind as she had to go to an assisted living facility in Apr 2023. Jelly Bean is getting depressed. She has gone to every adoption event on Saturdays and has been overlooked because she is a senior dog. She loves walks, car rides, bones and destroying stuffed dog toys. She is house and crate trained. She does require a securely fenced yard since she is part Beagle follows her nose. Since she lived with her mom for 6 years as an only pet, she prefers to be the only pet (no dogs or cats). She unconditionally loves her humans and loves her daily walks. Please adopt this senior active gem. Pssst a nice person has paid most of her adoption fee. Courtesay post for Helotes Humane Society. L & S Dog Diggity Rescue is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 800,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Our adoption fee includes vet care (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, etc), as well as transportation and health certificate. Story
I adopted Daisy from a shelter when she was about 6 months old. She is a sweet dog but requires lots of exercise. She is anxious around small dogs, but does well around ones her size. She thrives in a home with a large yard and someone who is experienced with dogs. Since I have adopted her I have lived in apartments which is not ideal for her. Since having another baby, I feel that I have very little time to give Daisy what she needs. Daisy’s perfect home would be with an individual or family that has experience and the time to love this affectionate pup.
