Story
The Sweetest Pair Ever!Female Bonded pair: Liza and Honey Bee, 5 year old littermatesLiza and Honey Bee once had the kind of life every dog dreams of—safe, cherished, and deeplyloved. From puppyhood on, they were their owner’s whole world. They received exceptionalveterinary care, were included in every part of daily life, and, most importantly, were neveralone. In fact, they stayed faithfully by their beloved “dad’s” side until his very last breath. Now, these two devoted girls are searching for someone special to carry that love forward.Losing their person has been incredibly hard. Both girls felt the loss deeply, and Liza, especially,is still finding her way through the grief. But beagles are resilient, loving souls—and with time, patience, and a gentle heart, they will bond again. They just need someone willing to open theirhome and heart to them.Liza is a stunning chocolate/blue tick beagle with a tender, soulful nature. She’s incrediblysweet, loves affection, and will melt right into you once she feels safe. She’s healthy, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all her vaccinations—ready to start her next chapter.Honey Bee, her equally beautiful red-tick sister, brings a perfect balance of calm and playfulcharm. She’s mellow but has a delightfully goofy side, and she’ll happily greet you withenthusiasm (and maybe a little jump-up hello!). She’s also healthy, spayed, microchipped, andcurrent on vaccinations. In the warmer months, she may experience occasional itchiness, whichhas been manageable with medication when needed. These girls share a unique little trait—their tails were naturally bent at birth and had to bedocked to prevent injury. But don’t worry… those tiny tails still wag with joy, especially whenthey’re together. They are a bonded pair and take great comfort in one another, so they must be adoptedtogether. They’ll also need a bit of guidance as they transition to outdoor potty routines, sincethey were previously trained on an indoor system. The good news? They’re already makinggreat progress, and with consistency and encouragement, they’ll continue to succeed.Liza and Honey Bee are looking for a beagle-savvy home—someone who understands thebreed’s quirks, their deep loyalty, and their need to be part of the family. In return, they willgive you a love that is profound, steady, and truly special. If you have room in your life for two hearts that just need a second chance, Liza and Honey Beeare waiting for you. Please complete our adoption application which can be found on our website atwww.cascaderescue.org. Their adoption fee is $400 each for a total of $800

Story
Now fostered in Mercer Island wa! Lucy is a sweet little soul searching for safety and love. Lucy’s story tugs at the heart. Estimated to be around 5–6 years old and weighing 35 lbs, this gentle girl likely has some Beagle, maybe Pug, honestly someone even said Shar Pei. Truthfully, with a rescue the true mis is hers, but what truly defines her isn’t her breed, but her beautiful, quiet spirit. Take a look at her sweetness in motion then come back to read more- https://youtu.be/i9NtuQKvz5w When Lucy’s former owner was taken to the hospital, she suddenly found herself without the familiar world she knew. Understandably, she’s been a little scared since. During her assessment, she sought comfort in the kindest way- leaning into a lap for reassurance and slowly learning that she was surrounded by gentle hands and calm voices and meant safety. Her foster shared that Lucy’s affection shines through once she starts to trust, which doesn’t take much time at all. “She lights up when she sees someone she knows,” they said. “The moment she recognizes you, her tail gives this soft little wag that says she’s happy to see you.” Lucy is looking for a peaceful home with a family that understands the beauty of quiet companionship. She’ll blossom with calm, consistent love and would do best with adults who are happy to take it slow at first knowing it is well worth it for what is on the other side. With other dogs, Lucy is polite but she prefers calm, easy-going canine friends who respect her boundaries and let her open up at her own pace. It is easy to see that her true comfort is with small dogs and even feline friends. She has lived peacefully with dogs before and seemed to quickie relax as she greeted each new dog, preferring calmer, companion type dogs. A calm, aloof male or gentle small dog would be a great match. She also met our resident house cat and despite his spicy approach, she did beautifully. She sniffed politely, wagged her tail softly, and then walked away a few steps to laydown and rest, “Nice to meet you!” Two fast tracks to Lucy’s heart- sweet talk and canned cheese, she accepts both with gentle gratitude. She’s not one for chaos or loud noises, so a home with a yard (rather than an apartment) will suit her best. Once she trusts her person, she’ll love to follow you from room to room- content to just be near you. All she needs is patience, gentleness, and love- and she’ll give it back tenfold. If you’re the kind of person who finds beauty in earning a shy dog’s trust, Lucy will be the most rewarding companion you could ask for. Ready to welcome Lucy home?
