Her mom that had her for 6 years had to leave her behind as she had to go to an assisted living facility in Apr 2023. Jelly Bean is getting depressed. She has gone to every adoption event on Saturdays and has been overlooked because she is a senior dog. She loves walks, car rides, bones and destroying stuffed dog toys. She is house and crate trained. She does require a securely fenced yard since she is part Beagle follows her nose. Since she lived with her mom for 6 years as an only pet, she prefers to be the only pet (no dogs or cats). She unconditionally loves her humans and loves her daily walks. Please adopt this senior active gem. Pssst a nice person has paid most of her adoption fee. Courtesay post for Helotes Humane Society. Bjorn here! I'm a young and enthusiastic Beagle with plenty of love to give! I'm an affectionate and friendly pup, but I also have a curious side and love to explore. I'm always up for a good play session, but I also enjoy getting cozy and cuddly with my favourite humans. Just look at my adorable face - I'm sure you can tell I'm a lovable pooch! Even though I'm just 1.5 years old, I've already had a bit of a rough start in life. I was adopted by a family who thought I'd be the perfect companion for their toddler, but between both parents working and a new baby, they didn't have enough time to give me the attention and training I needed. I was left alone for long periods of time, which made me anxious and scared. But now, I'm in a wonderful foster home where I get to play with other dogs and learn all the basics. I'm quickly learning how to be a well-behaved and loving companion, and I'm excited to find my forever home where I can continue to thrive and bring joy to my new family. Here's what you need to know about me: - I'm affectionate and love getting belly rubs and snuggles - I'm athletic and curious, always eager to explore and investigate - I'm friendly to everyone I meet, including kids and other dogs - I may have some separation anxiety initially. I will need continued work on my housebreaking skills since I have spent most of my life in a crate out in the garage :( If you want a young man like me, I'd love to meet you! Because of his history, we are looking for an adoption who has the time to invest in Bjorn so that he will succeed. Because of this, older children would be ok but probably not the best for under age 5. We promise Bjorn that we will find a family where he will get all the attention and love he needs (and training!)! (We marked Bjorn as "neutered" because he has an appointment on the books!) Adoption fee includes microchip, neuter, all vaccinations.

Gracie is an awesome Beagle mix. She weighs about 30lbs but needs to lose a few pounds. Gracie is young, sweet, playful and a quick learner. No cats for Gracie! She wouldn't harm them but she loves to chase them. She is good with other dogs, but she is more dominant and will do best with other dogs who are more submissive or mellow. Gracie would thrive in a situation with someone who works from home because she doesn't like to be alone, unless she has other dogs to be with. Gracie needs a fully fenced yard and ideally an active person who can take her on hikes or runs. She loves to play and do zoomies!
