Story
Little Libbie spent her young life in a breeding operation in the midwest. We pulled her to safety so she could enjoy a life every beagle deserves - - treats, a soft bed, fresh water and most of all, love. She is small (20 lbs), sweet, loving. Due to her background, she has never been in a house, so needs to be housebroken. Libbie has now been spayed, heartworm negative, vaccinated and microchippped. If you're interested in adopting her, please apply here: www.cascaderescue.org

Story
Meet Theo! Theo is the definition of a sweetheart. He is an affectionate, gentle, food-motivated beagle who loves being close to his people. Whether he’s soaking up the sun, curled up for a nap, asking for belly scratches, or happily being held, Theo thrives on love and companionship. He has come so far during his time in foster care, and it has been incredibly rewarding to watch his confidence grow. Theo gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has been great with kids. He enjoys playing fetch with tennis balls, loves toys that crinkle, and often gets a burst of playful energy after meals, after going potty, and especially around 7:00 p.m. He also loves exploring the world through his nose, taking his time on walks to sniff everything, and investigating bushes, sticks, and leaves along the way. He is nearly fully potty trained with an excellent success rate, as long as he gets one final potty break before bedtime. Theo knows “sit” (especially when treats are involved!) and is beginning to understand “wait” at mealtimes. He eats quickly, so a slow feeder may be helpful. He’s comfortable being handled, does well during baths if the water isn't running, and stays calm, if a little nervous, at the vet. Like many young beagles, Theo is still learning. He enjoys jumping onto furniture, has recently discovered chewing and digging, and is happiest when redirected to an appropriate toy. He is comfortable eating his meals in his crate but doesn’t enjoy being left alone for long and does experience some separation anxiety. He also occasionally reverse sneezes, but responds well to the simple nostril plug technique if needed. Theo is curious about the world around him. He’s interested in cars but still unsure of them, enjoys looking out windows, and rides well in the car, usually alternating between sleeping and quietly taking everything in. He responds to both “Theo” and “Theodore,” with Theodore seeming to be the name he recognizes best, but rapidly learning Theo. Above all else, Theo is an incredibly loyal, loving puppy who simply wants to be part of a family. He has shown us just how much love he has to give, and with a little patience, consistency, and affection, we know he will become an amazing lifelong companion. We feel so lucky to have been part of his journey and can’t wait for him to find the forever home he deserves.

Story
What my Foster says about me: I'm Zephyr and I am ADORABLE. I have the prettiest eyes, and I will use them to coerce you into giving me treats. I love treats, but I take them like the gentleman that I am. I am a bit shy with strangers and I really prefer to have another dog around to tell me whether to be concerned or not. But once I warm up, I love attention. I am young, but I do not have that annoying puppy energy. I love to play chase, and tug, and with my stuffies, but most of all I like to cuddle. Shall we binge-watch something together? I am potty trained, and crate trained, and an all-around good boy. I will steal your heart and maybe a slipper or a sock (I am a beagle, after all). But I always give them back. I do not resource-guard my toys, or even my food. I journeyed all the way from Omaha to find my forever home. Is it with you?
