Story
Kodiak is a beautiful, sweet, and lovable dog who has completely stolen the hearts of myself and my family over the past four years. This decision is incredibly difficult, but I’ve come to realize that Kodiak needs a different environment in order to thrive. While she is wonderful in so many ways, Kodiak has had issues getting along with our other female dog, Presley (a dachshund). The first incident happened after about a year, and while we thought it was an isolated situation, she unfortunately attacked Presley again in October 2024, which required medical care. During that same week, there was a second incident. Since then, we’ve kept the dogs separated, but I feel this has only increased her frustration toward Presley, even through the crate. We also have a small male dog, Bandit, and we believe the conflict between Kodiak and Presley is related to them both trying to establish dominance. We worked with a trainer and received tools to help Kodiak, but due to a very difficult 2025

Story
MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER Bella is a German shepherd amstaff mix. She was born on 9/11/21. She is spaid and very healthy. Belle is very affectionate and is good with other dogs including smaller one's. Not a dog for a home with a cat. She loves going for rides and swimming hiking and generally be very active. Bella is great with children but can be overwhelming for younger children because she loves to give kisses. She's always been fed higher end dog food such as tast of the wild, fromm brand, and Stella and chewy she's also used to having somebody cook for her such as green beans carrots sweet potatoes and chicken. Chloe is bull dog mix’s. Both need to go together we did try separate then. Chloe didn’t do well with out Bella. There will be a lower adoption fee if you adopted the two If interested call Taunton Animal Shelter at 508-822-1463 and ask for Rob Shelter Manager

Story
Some heroes wear capes, some grow wings after they heal. Meet Dragon Fly, a gentle soul with a survivor’s heart. Dragon Fly was found on the streets with a broken leg, she was searching for food, safety, and a little kindness. Life didn’t start gently for her, and because of that she’s shy at first and slow to trust. But give her patience and a soft voice, and you’ll unlock the best secret ever. Once Dragon Fly chooses you, she is all in. Hugs, pats, quiet loyalty, and a shadow that follows you from room to room like it’s her favorite job. She’s truly the perfect little lady, polite, calm, and thoughtful. But don’t be fooled by her dainty manners. Once she feels safe, Dragon Fly blossoms into your go-to gal for everything from peaceful hikes to championship-level couch lounging. Her previously broken leg never dimmed her spirit, and now that she’s fully healed, she runs like a champ and enjoys playtime in a fenced yard. Dragon Fly lives harmoniously with six dogs and has shown zero aggression. She tends to respectfully ignore the bigger dogs and saves her playful energy for her bestie. She would love a doggy companion, especially one around her size, but she’d also be perfectly content as your one and only. Since moving to her new foster in New England we have noticed she LOVES to be with her people and she needs a home with another playful dog (this is a must) to show her the way and make her comfortable. She is only about 28 pounds and a bit underweight but with the proper meals she been getting we feel she will be a bit heavier soon.Name: Dragon Fly (Princess)Breed: German Shepherd DogSex: FemaleAge: 1 year 11 months 1/1/26  Weight: 26lb as of 1/1/26Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: Older over age 7Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: UnknownAdoption Fee: $550.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:    New England 1/10IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
Meet Luna! This sweet girl was surrendered to us recently with her housemate Coco. They would be able to go home together or separately. From what the previous owners told us they got along well in their previous home. Her owners took very good care of her and Coco and loved them very much. She knows a lot of commands and is housetrained. This should make her transition into a new home pretty seamless. She is a very sweet, gentle girl who would love to find a soft place to land as soon as possible. She is small for a Shepherd mix and has lived in an apartment previously, so she won't need a lot of space to feel comfortable. Luna would be open to meeting your current dog or your children as well. Come make this lovely girl your new companion today! *If you can see me, I'm still available! We prefer initial adoption steps to be done via email, this way we can answer any time of day. We also prefer an application submitted before scheduling a visit, but it's not required, an email conversation is great! If you don't have access to email, no worries. Please call 401 680 7591. We differ from other shelters by offering a one-on-one experience between you, our staff and the animal or animals you've chosen to become a new family member! Please email pacadoptions@providenceri.gov or adoptions@friendsofpaccc.org *

Story
Introducing Julia! Julia is a gorgeous 2-year-old shepherd mix with a sleek coat, graceful build, and soulful eyes that draw you right in. She carries herself with grace, almost like a little deer, and her tall, expressive ears show exactly what’s on her mind. Julia is gentle, sweet, and very loyal—just like a true shepherd, she chooses her person and sticks by their side through thick and thin. She’s pretty low energy and would be perfectly content with the occasional stroll, followed by plenty of cuddle time. Her affectionate, easygoing nature makes her a joy to be around. She does well with kids, cats, and other dogs, and she’s food-motivated, crate trained, and housebroken. Julia is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to devote all her love and loyalty to her forever family
