With his current foster he has a relatively low energy level, but he does get physical and mental stimulation throughout the day. Rusty enjoys taking a walk in the morning on a transitional lead, followed by breakfast via hand feeding to reward following commands or working on a new training activity. In the afternoon Rusty likes to combine playtime and training (place, walking on a leash in the backyard, etc.). He is a smart boy that is eager to please and loves to be able to show off all the skills he is learning. Although he loves to chase a ball around the backyard, he is also more than content to snooze on the couch.Rusty would do well as an only dog or with another dog in the house after slow introductions. Rusty can be reactive on a leash, but his current foster is working on redirecting him when another dog approaches during walks.Rusty is crate trained and will sleep in his crate overnight, but prefers that his humans pay a 'treat tax' prior to entering his crate for the night.Rusty Road is a great boy looking for his family!Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website.
