Story
Hope along with her mother and one of her siblings were rescued from the flooding in Louisville, Kentucky last year, we adopted her in July and she has given us a lot of joy in the past year. She is high energy, very intelligent and plays very roughly, it saddens us to have to see her go but we do not have the room for her to run like she needs, she is fully grown at about 50 pounds and she is a talker but otherwise mostly quiet as she isn't a barker. She is also house broken and she has been taught how to sit, stay, come, leave it and no. She does well in the car and we've tried leash breaking her but she still needs work in those areas. We have no other pets or children in the home for her to interact with so we cannot say how she will react to them, but she is more likely to bond with a woman.

Story
Fable is ready for her forever home. She's kennel trained and gets along well with dogs and cats. Lots of playful energy in this sweet dog! Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee. MICHIGAN RESIDENTS—>PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO FILL OUT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/TAP/2450-michigan-adoption Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications. The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport. Thank you SO MUCH for giving a homeless Arkansas pup a chance at a real life with a family of their very own!

❤️ Meet Sativa! ❤️ This girl was found as a stray - Then we discovered she was heartworm positive. 💔 We weren’t going to give up on her. She received the heartworm treatment she needed, we had her spayed, up to date on vaccines and today we have the news we’ve been waiting for… 🎉 SATIVA IS HEARTWORM NEGATIVE! 🎉 This girl has come so far, and her story is a beautiful reminder of what a second chance can mean. From being alone on the side of the road not knowing where her next meal would be - to finally being safe, loved, and cared for. Sativa’s future is looking brighter every day. 🐾❤️. She is a very sweet and mild mannered girl, just happy and loves life! Now, we’re ready to help her find the forever family she deserves. 🏡🐶 Sativa gets along great with other dogs! Sativa’s past is behind her. Her happily ever after is just beginning. ❤️ Sativa is being fostered in Mississippi.
