However, a trainer abused the ecollar on him at a young age and he developed serious anxieties/fear: ecollars, e-scooters, fireworks.Ideal Home Requirements:A quiet, low-traffic home with outdoor space. (He is not taking to apartment living well due to e-scooters which is the main reason for rehoming).An experienced, confident owner who understands working breeds and drive management.He has a past bite history related to his early trauma, but has had no recent incidents and is entirely manageable under responsible leadership.Kato is my best friend and soul dog. His name is Wujoy. It means black mouth. My father in law found him as a puppy. Unfortunately my father in law is in his 90s now. Wujoy is only 4.5 yrs old. He needs 100% attention. He enjoys being outdoors. Some light walking. He mainly loves company. Someone who is at home all the time and just wants to enjoy life with a best friend. Wujoy is very loyal and just wants to be pet all day. Someone with patience. He is a very good boy just wants company. I am not in a rush and am only looking for the best home to someone patient and honest.

But before Canelo became the happy, playful boy we know today, his story started in a much sadder place. 💔 Canelo and his sister, LuLu (who is also available for adoption!), were found wandering the streets along the Texas/Mexico border, covered in fleas and ticks and starving. These two babies desperately needed help, and thankfully, a wonderful sanctuary opened its doors to them around March 2026. Since then, they have been safe, cared for, and given the chance to simply be dogs. Now, they’re thriving and ready for the next chapter of their lives: finding their very own forever families. 🏡❤️ And Canelo? Oh, this boy is READY to LIVE! Canelo is an energetic, outgoing, ridiculously happy young pup who seems to wake up every morning thinking, “WHAT ADVENTURE ARE WE HAVING TODAY?!” He loves life. He loves people. He loves dogs. He loves toys. And water? WATER IS HIS LOVE LANGUAGE. 🌊😂 This boy gets the most incredible zoomies, running around like he has somewhere very important to be, even when he absolutely does not. One minute he’s racing across the yard, the next he’s bouncing around like a little bunny rabbit, hopping from one kiddie pool to another. Yes, you read that right. A bunny rabbit. 🐰💦 The sanctuary has kiddie pools for the dogs, and Canelo takes full advantage. He doesn't just enjoy water — he genuinely believes it was put on this earth specifically for his entertainment. And don't even get us started on the garden hose. Canelo will enthusiastically attack that stream of water in an attempt to play with it. A sprinkler of his very own? His DREAM COME TRUE. A trip to the river, lake, or ocean? He might actually explode from happiness. 😂🌊 If your idea of a perfect weekend involves outdoor adventures, splashing in the water, and laughing at your dog's ridiculous antics, Canelo might be your soulmate. Canelo is also a social butterfly when it comes to other dogs. Big dogs, little dogs, playful dogs — he loves them all! He would absolutely adore having another energetic canine sibling who can keep up with his enthusiasm and join him for backyard zoomies, wrestling matches, and all-day play sessions. No other dog at home? That's okay, too! Doggy daycare or regular trips to the dog park could be wonderful ways to give him the canine companionship and playtime he craves. At around 48 lbs, he's a lovely medium-sized boy with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. His ideal home? An active family with a backyard, plenty of opportunities for play, and ideally a pool, a sprinkler, or access to somewhere he can splash around. Honestly, if Canelo could have ten pools, he would probably consider that a reasonable starting point. 😂💦 But more than anything, he needs a family who will love him for who he is: a joyful, playful, clever, affectionate boy who has already been through so much and is ready to make up for lost time. Meet Brownie! 👑🐾 Brownie is a 1½-year-old, 42-pound Shepherd mix who is sweet, energetic, affectionate, and absolutely convinced the world revolves around her! ❤️ And honestly… she may have a point. 😉 Brownie’s story began when someone found her as a puppy in South Texas in horrible condition. She was covered in fleas and ticks, frightened, and in desperate need of help. Thankfully, her finders took her in and gave her a chance. But as Brownie grew, so did her puppy energy. Her family realized they weren’t prepared for the energy and needs of a young dog and considered taking her to the pound. Rather than allow this sweet girl to face an uncertain future, they chose to surrender her to a wonderful sanctuary where she would be safe. Brownie has now been at the sanctuary for seven months, and sadly, no one has chosen her yet. And it’s absolutely no fault of her own. 💔 Brownie is a wonderful girl who is ready for a family that will appreciate her big personality, give her plenty of love, and keep her busy with all the things she enjoys. 👑 Meet the Diva Brownie is sweet, energetic, affectionate, and definitely knows what she wants! She is a vocal girl and will happily let you know when something doesn’t meet her very high Queen Brownie standards. 😂 Does she like something? She’ll tell you. Does she NOT like something? Meet Solei! Solei is one of our sunshine pups and she’s ready to find a home that can keep up with her! Solei is believed to be a Pit Bull/Malinois mix. She came from a local accidental litter that Project Precious Rescue and another rescue stepped in to help vet and rehome. Like many pups with bully and shepherd roots, Solei is an active girl who loves to run, jump, and play. She will be looking for a home with athletic pitbull/shepherd or working dog experience. These are not ideal first-time puppies unless you have solid plans for training, socialization, structured exercise, and lots of focused bonding time (maybe even a fun job!). Solei has a slightly softer personality than her sister. She can be a bit more reserved in new situations and may watch from the sidelines before jumping in. Once she’s comfortable, she’s incredibly sweet and loves snuggles when she’s ready to wind down. She’s a sensitive girl who responds beautifully to praise and encouragement. She has done well with dogs of all shapes and sizes, especially playful pups who enjoy puppy antics. An active dog friend would likely be a great match for her. She may also do fine with a savvy cat, though she hasn’t met one yet.
