A great kind soul who went in to the local pound in California on 2 April with 20 other dogs, some made it out and some didnt. Lissa is a nice dog, easy going and would make great companion dog. And she would love a home and love to be an only. She is not happy at the rescue and we pray she finds someone who will want to take her in for the rest of her days. She will not fail you. Zero aggression and so much love to give. Her adoption fee is 175$

Story
Rudy is a young Malinois mix puppy making his way to Albany, NY and he is looking for a committed, experienced home. This boy is full of energy, drive, and intelligence everything you’d expect from this incredible breed. He will need a home that understands the needs of a working dog, can provide structure, training, and daily mental and physical stimulation. Breed knowledge is strongly preferred as Malinois are not your average puppy and thrive in the right hands. We rescued Rudy from Harris County Shelter in Texas where his future was uncertain, and now he has a chance at the life he deserves. He is still just a puppy and with the right guidance will grow into an amazing, loyal companion. If you are experienced with the breed and ready to give Rudy the time, commitment, and leadership he needs, please apply below: https://www.trinafriendsk9rescue.org/new-page #malinois #belgianmalinois #malinoismix #rescuepuppy #adopt #adoptdontshop #rescuedog #dogrescue #puppylife #workingdog #dogsofinstagram #adoptme #fosteringsaveslives #rescuedismyfavoritebreed #texastonewyork #northeastadopters #albanyny #trinaandfriends #k9rescue

Story
.My brother passed away unexpectedly and Sherlock and Stella meant the world to him. They are both fully grown. They spent 3 weeks in an animal shelter before I could get them, with private car service from California to their new temporary home in Westchester, NY. I cannot take care of both dogs and they are bonded so would love to see good family adopt them both together.. They are 8 and 9 years old. Stella (9) is more outgoing, energetic, and playful, while Sherlock (8) is calmer and very affectionate. They balance each other beautifully and take comfort in being together. Hoping they will find their forever home with a loving family.

Story
Rip a 4 yr old, Malinois/Belgian Shepherd mix. He is a big boy at 90lbs. Rip is very intelligent and eager to please. He is very food motivated. He knows many basic commands, including sit, touch, down, paw and is working on roll over. He is also crate trained. Rip enjoys going on long walks with staff and volunteers. Rip's walking ability has received glowing reviews, as our walkers have told us he is one of the most enjoyable dogs to walk. Rip enjoys human interaction, and will ask for attention and affection at any given opportunity. Like any good dog he loves a butt scratch, a belly rub and a head pat. As for other dogs, Rip is selective. He enjoys the company of a dominant female, who can doll out and receive some rough and rowdy play. As much as he loves kids of all ages, due to his size and general doofiness a home with children is not recommended. Rip is also not suitable for a home with cats. For more information on Rip Wheeler, call AWS at 860-354-1350 email animalwelfare.socty@snet.net or visit our website aws-shelter.org for a pre adopt application. Adoption fees for Dogs (8yrs and up) is $150 Adult Dogs is $400 and Puppies under a year is $500

Story
Karla is a volunteer favorite and a truly special dog looking for the right match. This beautiful German Shepherd mix takes time to trust, but once you’re in her circle, you’re there for life. She’s affectionate, loyal, and loves her walks, car rides, and a good game of fetch or frisbee. She is housetrained, incredibly smart, and about 50 pounds. She was born in November 2018. Here is the tricky part - Karla does not like strangers, and sometimes other dogs. Karla takes a long time to warm up, and as such she cannot go home with just anyone. She is protective of her people, so she will need a home where this is respected. An experienced dog owner is a must. Shepherd experience is a plus. Karla had a DNA test and she is: 46% German Shepherd Dog 32% American Pit Bull Terrier 9% Rottweiler 5% Dalmatian 4% American Staffordshire Terrier 2% White Swiss Shepherd 1% Belgian Sheepdog 1% Bohemian Shepherd Dog

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.*** Check Out My Video Album Below! *** Get ready to fall head over paws for Princess - a stunning girl with one blue eye and one brown eye! Her dad was a purebred Great Pyrenees and her mom was a mix of German Shepherd and other breeds, giving Princess her beautiful medium-length coat and one-of-a-kind look. Princess is a high-energy girl who loves to run and play, but when adventure time is over, she's equally happy cuddling up beside you on the couch. She's housebroken, crate trained, and leash trained (still learning not to pull), and knows the command "sit." She doesn’t dig and is actually fairly quiet for a Pyr. Cheese is her all-time favorite treat! She does have a flair for escape - she's jumped the porch gate and loves to chase cars - so a secure 5-foot fence is a must. Princess is an absolute sweetheart with kids and has been wonderful with the resident children ages 4, 2, and an infant. She does well with large dogs but is not suitable for homes with cats or small animals. She may bark to alert you that someone new has arrived, but is sweet with everyone she’s met. Her dream home is with an active family that has kids, room to run, and a securely fenced yard. This sweet, silly girl is ready to blossom - could that home be yours? Fees: Adoption fees are determined on a sliding scale depending on age, location and transport. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you call or e-mail you are reducing your chances of adopting this animal as we direct our time and energy to first serving those who apply. NYS Registered Non-Profit Rescue # RR102. National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) has been rescuing and adopting out Great Pyrenees since 2006. Our relationship doesn’t end with adoption, as we continue to support adopters throughout the lifetime of their dog. Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority. We have many Pyrs and Pyr mixes who need homes.
