Story
Skye is a female Belgium Malinois.Skye is a super chill girl who is eager for adventure and to find her new family! Skye is always smiling and absolutely loves the people she's decided are her friends. Once you're on Team Skye, you are in! She is all about big adventures, going on walks, and exploring the wide-open world. She does amazingly well on a leash, making her a good hiking buddy. Once she gets to know you, it is constant cuddles. Skye needs you to be her pack leader and to let her know everything is good, to be ready for her to look to you for direction and respond to your moods. Skye would do best in a home with no other dogs, no kids, and possibly a cat - she would prefer to be your one and only!To apply for this pet on Adopets, click the Adopt Me button below their profile picture. Story
Rip a 4 yr old, Malinois/Belgian Shepherd mix. He is a big boy at 90lbs. Rip is very intelligent and eager to please. He is very food motivated. He knows many basic commands, including sit, touch, down, paw and is working on roll over. He is also crate trained. Rip enjoys going on long walks with staff and volunteers. Rip's walking ability has received glowing reviews, as our walkers have told us he is one of the most enjoyable dogs to walk. Rip enjoys human interaction, and will ask for attention and affection at any given opportunity. Like any good dog he loves a butt scratch, a belly rub and a head pat. As for other dogs, Rip is selective. He enjoys the company of a dominant female, who can doll out and receive some rough and rowdy play. As much as he loves kids of all ages, due to his size and general doofiness a home with children is not recommended. Rip is also not suitable for a home with cats. For more information on Rip Wheeler, call AWS at 860-354-1350 email animalwelfare.socty@snet.net or visit our website aws-shelter.org for a pre adopt application. Adoption fees for Dogs (8yrs and up) is $150 Adult Dogs is $400 and Puppies under a year is $500

Quick Facts: Age - 4-6yrs old Kids - will do fine with older kids (10+) Dogs - good with large male dogs Cats - NO cats Training - needs standard obedience training 1. My story is pretty sad. I was chained to a tree with no interaction and used for breeding. I had my last litter of puppies (all have been adopted) and now it's my turn! 2. My foster mom estimates my age to be about 4-6yrs old. We aren't quite sure but because of my hard upbringing, I have a little more gray on my face. 3. I enjoy taking walks, exploring in the backyard, playing with other large breed dogs, and resting with my foster mom. I'm house & kennel trained even tho I don't need to be in one! 4. I would love to find a person/family who will take me on walks, tell me I'm the bestest girl in the world, and show me what a loving family really is. 5. Story
Meet Abra – At just 10 months old, this stunning black and tan German Shepherd has already overcome more than most dogs ever should. After surviving life on the streets, he's still learning that not every person will let him down. He approaches new people thoughtfully, but once you earn his trust, you've gained a loyal friend for life. And that loyalty? It's everything German Shepherd lovers dream about. Abra is incredibly intelligent, eager to learn, and at the perfect age to continue his training. He thrives with clear guidance, consistency, and someone who appreciates the incredible bond this breed is known for. He's not looking for perfection—just someone willing to show him that home is a place where he can finally relax. His favorite thing? Other dogs! Abra absolutely loves canine companions and lights up when he has a dog friend by his side. They seem to help him remember that life is meant to be fun. He's playful. He's handsome. He's athletic. He's goofy once he lets his guard down. And underneath that serious shepherd exterior is a young dog who's simply waiting for someone to believe in him. Abra isn't broken. He's becoming. If you have German Shepherd experience and are looking for a dog whose love is deep, unwavering, and earned, Abra may be the partner you've been waiting for. Some dogs steal your heart the moment you meet them. Abra gives you something even better—he gives you the chance to earn it. 🖤🐾
