Story
Nani is almost 4 years old. She is a vibrant silly energetic lovable Belgian Malinois mix. She loves adventure car rides and long walks. She was adopted by a family member who could not keep her. She has been with me since 3 months old. She is a loyal and very protective dog. I have young nieces and nephews and she has been great with them. However, She is an anxious and sometimes reactive dog on walks/strangers.Exercise helps and is important. An indiv/coup who is active or experience with working dog breeds is best. She loves to play with other dogs when at the dog park. She loves to cuddle and is very affectionate with their person. She is house trained, and knows basic obedience commands. She is very very smart. I have faith that she would quickly excel with advanced obedience training. She is the love of my life and Unfortunately, I cannot provide her with the care she fully needs because of my housing and personal circumstances and want to do whats best for her.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Bryanne (TX) is believed to be a female Belgian Shepherd Malinois mix rescued in Texas. Our veterinary partner estimates that Bryanne  was 7  months old at the time of intake in Nov 2022. Bryanne  is good with people of all ages, yep little children included, other dogs AND cats!   Bryanne  is a very special girl that has had a very tough start. She found herself alone with a bad injury that required surgery. We got her the surgery she needed and she is now a happy tripod ready to start a happy life. She has the most amazing ears and gorgeous face, how can you resist those soulful eyes. Bryanne would be happy lounging around and spending time with her family.   She gets around perfectly (even stairs) She is leash and crate trained. She is working on puppy manners and doing great. If you are looking for a snuggle partner or a second shadow apply today, she is the total package! If you would like to share Bryanne 's life journey, please apply online to adopt Bryanne  (TX) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org .    RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue.  All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. GENE was transferred to GaDaH from a shelter in Texas.  GENE is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, heartworm/tick tested negative. She is on monthly prevention, microchipped, has an estimated date of birth of 23 May 2022. We have no way of knowing what the actual breed is, so it is up to people to look at the pictures and video's to make up their own mind. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue  YouTube channel  and  photo albums on our Facebook page  to see a LOT of pictures and videos. GENE-Girl an energetic and intelligent Belgian Malinois mix with a zest for life. Despite being a mix breed, Gene-Girl possesses many of the distinctive qualities and needs associated with the Belgian Malinois breed. If you're an active individual or family seeking a devoted companion who thrives on structured exercise, mental stimulation, and training, Gene-Girl might be the perfect match for you. &#226&#128&#139Gene-Girl is a spirited and curious dog who approaches every day with enthusiasm. She is highly intelligent and loves to engage in mentally stimulating activities. This clever girl is quick to learn and eager to please, making her an excellent candidate for further training and obedience work. &#226&#128&#139She forms deep bonds with her humans and is known for her loyalty and affectionate nature. As a Belgian Malinois mix, &#226&#128&#139Gene-Girl requires an outlet for her abundant energy. She flourishes with plenty of exercise and mental challenges to keep her mind sharp and her body active. Daily walks, jogs, or hikes in nature are essential to meet her exercise requirements. Engaging in activities like agility, obedience training, and interactive play sessions will help channel her energy and ensure she remains a happy and well-balanced companion. &#226&#128&#139Gene-Girl is a highly trainable dog, and her intelligence and eagerness to please make her a joy to work with. She already shows promise in basic commands and leash manners, but continued training will help her reach her full potential. With positive reinforcement techniques and consistency, &#226&#128&#139she&#226&#128&#139 will excel in obedience training, providing a rewarding and fulfilling experience for both of you. &#226&#128&#139Gene-Girl &#226&#128&#139Bella thrives in an environment where her mental and physical needs are met. She is best suited for an active individual or family who can dedicate time to her exercise regimen and provide mental stimulation through training and interactive play. A securely fenced yard would be beneficial for her to burn off energy safely. While&#226&#128&#139 her mix breed heritage adds uniqueness to her appearance, it's important to understand and cater to her Belgian Malinois instincts and requirements. &#226&#128&#139Gene-Girl is great with other dogs, and has lived amongst all ages and sizes since being at the rescue. She does want to chase cats, but more in a curious manner. With the right environment, love, and care, &#226&#128&#139Gene-Girl&#226&#128&#139 will bring boundless joy, loyalty, and adventure into your life GENE is available for adoption from Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Sebec, Maine for an adoption fee of $550.   This adoption fee covers the cost of running a brick and mortar rescue as well as any transport, veterinary, food, treats, toys costs and the many expenses that rescues endure to keep the pets in their care safe, and happy.    Be sure to read all his information and if interested, go to the rescue website to submit an adoption application. https://www.giveadogahome-rescue.org/forms/form?formid=5838 The rescue buys food in bulk, by the truck load and there are a variety of brands and flavors. None of the food given is less than a 4* food rating. There have not been issues with eating any of the varying foods. It is important that you do your research on the ingredients and speak to your vet or a nutritionist on grain vs grain free! &#226&#128&#139You MUST understand that dogs need time to decompress and adapt to their new environment and home. It is a HUGE transition they make from the kill shelter, being vetted, on transport for 3 days and arriving in Maine where the temperature and such is very different to what they have only known. In rescue there is what is known as the "3 Point Rule" Days 1-3 your dog is stressed, anxious, confused as to where they are now. Weeks 1-3 your dog is adjusting, settling in, learning things. At the 3-month point, your dog understands they are home, and have built up a trusting relationship where they feel loved and secure. If you feel that you have the heart and home to give this precious soul a wonderful life, please go to our website, under the ADOPTION INFO tab, complete, then submit the APPLICATION. Our process takes around 1-2 days, and ensuring your references are aware that we will be calling, could speed up the process. Once you have been approved, we discuss any questions in regards to the dog you are wanting to adopt, then we can schedule your appointment to come to the rescue in Sebec, Maine for meet/greet/adopt Please do NOT submit an application if you are not looking to take home a new best friend within the next few weeks. https://www.giveadogahome-rescue.org/forms/form?formid=5838 ALL Dogs are LOCATED AT THE RESCUE IN SEBEC, MAINE. We post in various states along the east coast and Canada where we have had lots of successful adoptions to enable more exposure for these beautiful saved souls. Families will need to be prepared to travel to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Sebec is located just outside the towns of Dover-Foxcroft and Milo (approx. 8 miles) and approx. 45 miles from Bangor. There are also lots of hotels, motels, pet friendly accommodations and wonderful camp-sites for the more adventurous families and what a great way to get to know your new best friend.
