Belgian Malinois puppies and dogs in Suffern, New York

A second chance Cinderella story Sometimes the new beginnings in life for the puppies in this world are not the warm and fuzzy starts we wish for them. Gunnerman's story began in the hands of a homeless person who had temporary housing but unfortunately did not have the resources to provide this young puppy with the veterinary care and stability he needed. Gunnerman had a wound on his face that required medical attention, and thankfully, he received the care he desperately needed only to soon afterward have his owner get evicted.  The call came to us that Gunnerman was now outside with his owner and nowhere to go with no safe place to call home. That is when Critter Cavalry Rescue stepped in again, along with a kind foster dad who opened his heart and home to this handsome brindle boy. Together, we are determined to give Gunnerman the second chance he deserves and find him a strong, dog-savvy family who understands his needs and will surround him with love, guidance, and the steadfast certainty that his future will be a good one.We believe Gunnerman is a Malinois Shepherd mix, a type of Shepherd that many people may not be familiar with. Malinois are known for their intelligence, loyalty, athleticism, and incredible devotion to their people. They are quick learners and form very strong bonds with the humans they love. Gunner is already showing us those wonderful qualities at just about four months old. This boy is a lover of people and other creatures. We have not had the opportunity to introduce him to cats yet, but because he is still so young and has such a friendly, open personality, we believe that with the proper introduction, he could potentially become a cat's best friend and protector. Of course, any cat introduction would need to be done carefully and responsibly.Gunnerman has plenty to learn about life, but one thing he already does beautifully is bond with his person. He greets new experiences with curiosity, interest, and a happy smile. This boy is definitely not a shrinking violet! Gunnerman is ready to march off into the day with excitement and anticipation for whatever fun and adventure comes next.We anticipate that Gunnerman will grow into a handsome 50-pound adult, and we believe he is going to be one of the most loyal companions a family could ask for. He is working on his housebreaking and doing well with it, and like any young Shepherd mix, he will need continued training, structure, exercise, mental stimulation, and someone who will patiently help him become the wonderful adult dog he is destined to be.We do require that Gunnerman's forever family have a fenced and secure backyard where he can safely run, roam, explore, and smell all the wonderful things the great outdoors has to offer. Curiosity is definitely part of this boy's Shepherd heritage, and Gunner loves using his nose to investigate the world around him.We think Gunnerman is going to have a true Cinderella story. He started life without the security and stability every puppy deserves, but his story is changing now. We are so excited to watch this beautiful boy grow, learn, bond, and blossom into the loyal and devoted companion we know he can become.Gunnerman's future is waiting for him, and he will be forever grateful to the person or family who gives him the life he has always deserved. And so will all of us at Critter Cavalry Rescue. If you believe you may be the right forever home for this special boy, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com. Meet Brownie! 👑🐾 Brownie is a 1½-year-old, 42-pound Shepherd mix who is sweet, energetic, affectionate, and absolutely convinced the world revolves around her! ❤️ And honestly… she may have a point. 😉 Brownie’s story began when someone found her as a puppy in South Texas in horrible condition. She was covered in fleas and ticks, frightened, and in desperate need of help. Thankfully, her finders took her in and gave her a chance. But as Brownie grew, so did her puppy energy. Her family realized they weren’t prepared for the energy and needs of a young dog and considered taking her to the pound. Rather than allow this sweet girl to face an uncertain future, they chose to surrender her to a wonderful sanctuary where she would be safe. Brownie has now been at the sanctuary for seven months, and sadly, no one has chosen her yet. And it’s absolutely no fault of her own. 💔 Brownie is a wonderful girl who is ready for a family that will appreciate her big personality, give her plenty of love, and keep her busy with all the things she enjoys. 👑 Meet the Diva Brownie is sweet, energetic, affectionate, and definitely knows what she wants! She is a vocal girl and will happily let you know when something doesn’t meet her very high Queen Brownie standards. 😂 Does she like something? She’ll tell you. Does she NOT like something? Oh, you’ll definitely hear about that too! She has a wonderfully expressive personality and a funny little diva streak that will keep her family laughing. Brownie loves attention and firmly believes that she should be the center of yours. ❤️ 🐕 Dog Friendly Brownie loves other dogs and would be perfectly happy sharing her home with another canine companion. That said, she would also be completely fine as your one-and-only dog. As long as she has her people, plenty of attention, and opportunities to play, Brownie is happy. 👧 Great with Kids Brownie would do well with children and would love having kids around to play with and shower her with attention. 🐱 Cats Brownie has not yet been formally cat-tested, but given her sweet and social demeanor, we believe she may do well with cats. A proper introduction and supervision would, of course, be important. 🏡 Working on Her House Manners Brownie is crate-trained and is currently working on mastering her house training. She’s a smart young girl who just needs a family willing to continue helping her learn. With patience, consistency, and a regular routine, Brownie should continue making great progress. 🥾 An Active Girl Looking for an Active Family Brownie has energy to burn and would love a family who enjoys walks, adventures, playtime, and outdoor activities. She enjoys her walks and would do wonderfully with regular neighborhood walks. She also loves playing with toys and would be thrilled to have a family who wants to spend time playing with her. She even likes trying to catch birds! 🐦😂 Don't worry—we don't let her! Brownie would love a family that will keep her body active and her mind engaged while also giving her plenty of affection and attention. ❤️ Why Brownie? Because underneath that hilarious diva personality is a really sweet girl who just wants to be loved. Brownie has already been through so much. She started life scared, covered in fleas and ticks, and unsure of what the future held. She was given a second chance, but after seven months at the sanctuary, she's still waiting for someone to look past her big personality and realize what a wonderful companion she could be. She doesn't need to be perfect. She just needs someone who will love her for exactly who she is—the energetic, affectionate, vocal, playful, slightly demanding, absolutely adorable Queen Brownie. 👑❤️ Brownie is ready for a family who will take her on adventures, play with her toys, take her for walks, give her all the attention she believes she deserves, and most importantly, love her forever. If you're looking for a sweet, energetic Shepherd mix with a big personality and even bigger heart, Brownie may be your girl. 🐾❤️ Seven months is far too long to wait for a forever family. Brownie is ready to be someone's Queen. 👑 PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BELOW IF INTERESTED IN ADOPTING: The next step to adopt is to fill out an application on our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This doggy is spayed/neutered, heart worm negative, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. ❤️ Meet Sativa! ❤️ This girl was found as a stray - Then we discovered she was heartworm positive. 💔 We weren’t going to give up on her. She received the heartworm treatment she needed, we had her spayed, up to date on vaccines and today we have the news we’ve been waiting for… 🎉 SATIVA IS HEARTWORM NEGATIVE! 🎉 This girl has come so far, and her story is a beautiful reminder of what a second chance can mean. From being alone on the side of the road not knowing where her next meal would be - to finally being safe, loved, and cared for. Sativa’s future is looking brighter every day. 🐾❤️. She is a very sweet and mild mannered girl, just happy and loves life! Now, we’re ready to help her find the forever family she deserves. 🏡🐶 Sativa gets along great with other dogs! 🐾 Meet Hazel! 💕 Your Next Adventure Buddy! 🐾 Hazel is a 5-year-old girl who is smart, athletic, affectionate, and FULL of personality! She’s the kind of dog who is always ready to go do something fun—and then happily settle in beside you when the day is done. ❤️. Hazel currently lives with another large dog and does okay, but we think she would do best as an only dog Hazel is looking for someone who will appreciate her fun-loving, energetic personality and give her opportunities to run, explore, play, ride along, and be part of the family. If you're the type of person who says, “Want to go for a hike?” instead of “Want to stay home?”—Hazel may be your girl! 🥾🐾❤️ Hazel can be very excited when her person comes home, but the good news is that she settles down quickly. Because of that enthusiasm, she may be a little too exuberant for very young or small children and could accidentally knock them over. Hazel is ready to find her forever adventure partner! 🏡💗 She is a very amazing dog, but cats and small animals are a big no for Hazel. 🏡 House-trained and trustworthy when left loose in the house 🛋️ Doesn’t tear things up when left alone during the day 🛏️ Would happily sleep with her person 🎾 LOVES playing with balls 🚗 LOVES going for rides 🥾 Would absolutely love a hike or outdoor adventure with an active person 🧠 Smart and eager to be involved 😍 Loves everyone—she definitely does NOT meet a stranger! Your adoption fee includes transport to a location near you by Rescue Riders Transport! Please message us if you are interested in adopting this sweet girl!

Trained in over 20+ English commands and scent detection (live human and article), he is a working-dog enthusiast’s dream. He has intense toy/food drive, loves swimming, and thrives when he has a job to do. Kato would thrive in a working dog home or sport. He comes from the Big Roy lineage.Kato is a silly, deeply affectionate love bug, protective and very smart-once you earn his trust. However, a trainer abused the ecollar on him at a young age and he developed serious anxieties/fear: ecollars, e-scooters, fireworks.Ideal Home Requirements:A quiet, low-traffic home with outdoor space. (He is not taking to apartment living well due to e-scooters which is the main reason for rehoming). An experienced, confident owner who understands working breeds and drive management. He has a past bite history related to his early trauma, but has had no recent incidents and is entirely manageable under responsible leadership.Kato is my best friend and soul dog. He deserves to live to his full potential
