He came from a heartbreaking situation, but despite everything he’s been through, Whiskey has chosen kindness. All he really wants now are a few tasty treats, some loving pets, and a yard to run off his energy in.This cuddle tank is a gentle giant with an easygoing nature inside the home. Indoors, Whiskey is calm and affectionate, happiest when he can lean against his people or stay close by, quietly soaking up love. Outside, however, is where his size and strength really shine. He is a big, powerful boy who can pull on leash and needs continued training to polish his manners. While he is very sweet, he will require structure, consistency, and an adopter committed to working with him so he can be his very best self.Due to his strength and energy level, Whiskey is looking for a home with prior German Shepherd experience. He needs confident, dog-savvy adopters who understand the breed’s drive, intelligence, and training needs. Yar loves to romp around with his siblings before settling in for a cozy nap. With his fun personality and adventurous spirit, Yar would do great in a home ready for all the joy (and laughter) that comes with raising a puppy. Rescued from a high-capacity shelter at just 6 weeks old, this adorable group of puppies has been busy growing, learning, and playing in their foster home. Now 8 weeks old, they’re ready to stomp their way into loving forever homes! These pups are believed to be Shepherd mixes and are expected to grow to around 65 pounds when fully grown. Shepherd-type dogs are known for being intelligent, loyal, athletic, and deeply devoted to their families. They thrive with active households that enjoy walks, adventures, and plenty of playtime. In their foster home, the Dinosaur pups have been socialized with children, dogs, and other household pets, giving them a great start to becoming well-rounded companions. Like all puppies, they are still learning the basics of potty training, crate training, and good puppy manners. Each one has their own personality — but all share the same sweet, playful, and curious spirit.

Gandalf - 57 lb, 3 years old, Shepherd mix. This poor guy was a stray; he was caught using a dog trap. He’s shut down in the shelter environment. He’ll need an experienced, patient handler who can help him to decompress and come out of his shell. Gandalf was evaluated by staff; key observations are as follows: Tolerates gentle petting on the head; shut down; shows limited social skills with people. Overall, appears under socialized and a flight risk! Leash walking is currently very uncomfortable; he will resist, yelp, and attempt to hide. Enjoyed spending time in the yard (on leash), tolerated people being present but does not show much enthusiasm or engagement. He did take treats gently from the handler. Tested well with another male (Coffee); they were able to sit in the grass together and relax. He was also introduced to a more energetic female dog, River. He initially growled at her but then was able to coexist and allow some curious sniffing. Any future introductions to other dogs should be slow and supervised. When returning to his kennel, Gandalf walked inside on his own to hide and allowed staff to remove his leash without issue. ##2604285##

3 yr old M tan/white GSD mix Meet Duke, a handsome 3-year-old, 48 pound boy looking to find his perfect forever home! Recently rescued from SASA, this sweet boy was surrendered by his family, who said they no longer had time for him. Despite this tough start, he remains an incredibly loving and hopeful pup, eager for a new chapter with someone who will truly cherish him. According to his foster family, he’s the whole package: house-broken, crate-trained (he even puts himself to bed!), and always eager to please. He loves his toys, enjoys playtime, and gets along well with dogs his own age. With older dogs he can be a bit cautious, so he may thrive best as the only pet where he can soak up all the love and attention he craves. He’s house broken completely. He even learned how to ring the bell to go outside  What truly makes him special, his foster family says, is his affectionate nature. He seeks connection, happily leaning in for pets and companionship, and would be a loyal, loving addition to a home that wants a smart and tenderhearted companion.
