MEET SOLACE Allow me to introduce you to… Solace. Her name means comfort. Peace. Shelter for the heart. Which is fitting—because that’s exactly what she needed when we found her. Solace was abandoned. No leash. No goodbye. No explanation. Just a beautiful Great Pyrenees left behind like she didn’t matter. But look at her now. Still soft. Still trusting. Still standing tall like she doesn’t know how to stop being good—even after humans failed her. She didn’t come out angry. She came out gentle. Some dogs get rescued and become loud about it. They bark their gratitude. They demand reassurance. Solace? She became quiet in that way that says: “I’m ready to belong… if you are.” She’s calm, soulful, and steady—the kind of dog who changes the energy of a room just by being in it. The kind who leans in softly and makes everything feel okay again. Welcome to safety, sweet girl. Now all that’s missing… is home. Solace is ready to find her forever family. If your heart has room for comfort, peace, and unconditional love—she may be waiting for you. Story
Meet Dakota 2-year-old Great Pyrenees | Gentle • Loving • Easygoing Dakota is one of those dogs that quietly wins everyone over. Picked up as a stray, Dakota waited patiently at the shelter for someone to come looking for him. No one did. What did happen, though, was every single staff member falling in love with him. Dakota is super sweet, calm, and affectionate—the kind of dog that leans in for pets and makes you feel like everything is going to be okay. He has the classic Great Pyrenees temperament: gentle, loyal, and thoughtful, with a big heart to match his big frame. Despite being in a stressful shelter environment, Dakota showed nothing but kindness. He was easy to handle, friendly with people, and genuinely adored by the staff who cared for him. That tells us a lot about the kind of dog he is. Dakota is still young at just 2 years old and ready to start his real life—the one with a soft place to land, daily routines, and a family who sees what the shelter staff saw right away: a truly special dog. If you’re looking for a loving companion with a calm soul and a heart of gold, Dakota is ready to meet you. Story
Meet Dennis, a handsome Great Pyrenees mix puppy with a gentle soul and a quietly confident spirit. Born on October 18th, Dennis is just 8 weeks old as of December 15th and already tipping the scales at 15 pounds—a solid start for a boy who’s sure to grow into a big, beautiful companion. Dennis has a wonderfully independent nature for such a young pup. He likes to keep his people within sight but is perfectly content relaxing or napping on his own, a trait so common in Great Pyrenees dogs. He’s not clingy or demanding—just calmly present and observant, taking in the world around him at his own pace. Curious and adventurous, Dennis loves exploring both the house and the backyard, confidently checking out new spaces and smells. He’s playful and enjoys toys and romping around with his brother, and he’s especially intrigued by his 100-pound foster brother. He very much wants to play—he’s just still figuring out how to interact with someone that big! Dennis is a brave little guy who doesn’t hesitate to try new things. Whether it’s hopping off the couch, stepping down from the deck, or boldly initiating play, he approaches life with quiet confidence. His activity level sits at a comfortable 5/10, making him an easygoing puppy who enjoys playtime but also appreciates downtime. His mom is a pure Great Pyrenees, and while dad is unknown, the entire litter of ten puppies is showing classic Pyr traits—laid-back personalities, thoughtful independence, and calm energy. Potty training has been surprisingly easy at such a young age. Dennis is already learning good habits, and by 12 weeks old, these puppies may be very well on their way to being reliably trained. Of course, accidents can still happen with small bladders, but they’re doing great. The pups are also being introduced to a bell system to signal when they need to go outside, which may be a wonderful tool for achieving early and consistent potty training success. Dennis is going to grow into a large breed boy who will be 65-75 pounds and will shine as a devoted companion who is equal parts gentle, brave, and beautifully independent. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 20, 2025, 12:12 am

Story
Meet Harry, a precious 8-week-old (as of December 14) Great Pyrenees mix (mom is full Great Pyr) who is already winning hearts everywhere he goes. With his soft short coat and soulful puppy eyes, this sweet boy is a bit of a mystery mix—but one thing is certain: he’s going to grow into a large, beautiful dog with an even more beautiful heart. Harry is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and full of joyful puppy energy. He loves tumbling around with toys, playing, and then curling up for snuggles when it’s time to rest. One of his most endearing traits is how thoughtful he is—sometimes he’ll simply sit and watch his foster mom, as if he’s carefully studying the world and learning how to be the very best companion. Goofy, curious, and endlessly lovable, Harry has that special spark that makes you smile without even trying. He’s the kind of puppy who brings warmth and happiness into every room he enters. If you’re ready for puppy kisses, playful zoomies, and a lifetime of unconditional love, Harry might be the perfect match for your family.
