She was adopted from a rescue in Fredericksburg, VA and previously lived on an Amish farm in Ohio, so her early life was very quiet and sheltered. Because of this, she can be timid and unsure in new environments, especially around loud or unfamiliar sounds. With time, patience, and consistency, she has made beautiful progress and continues to grow more confident. Carti bonds deeply with kind, gentle humans. While she is not overly cuddly, she shows her love in her own special ways—getting excited when her person comes home, staying close by, and seeking reassurance. Once she trusts you, she is incredibly loyal and sweet. She does best in a quiet home with one person or a couple, rather than a busy family. She prefers being the only dog and feels most comfortable in calm, predictable environments.

Bippity and Boppity were surrendered together to a local shelter. HART scooped them right up. These two are super nice. They love belly rubs and are open to being touched and held. They LOVE attention! Boppity (the female) is a little more timid than the boy and patiently waits while he gets attention first. She is very pretty and feminine, smaller that him. At 2 years old, they are fully grown. Their foster say she gave them a nice blanket and 2 squeaky toys and they really seem to appreciate everything that they have. They can be adopted separately but Boppity may appreciate another dog in the home as she is always checking in with Bippity. Questions About this Animal? He is kind and very playful. He loves toys and is friendly and very independent. He likes to cuddle under the sheets. Obi has a one-year-old Yorkiechon brother who have never been apart since the day they were born. They are deeply bonded — play together, protect one another, and truly find comfort in each other’s presence. Because of this bond, separating them would break their hearts. They are incredibly sweet, affectionate, and loving dogs with gentle souls and lots of energy. Watching them interact, you can see how much they rely on each other — it’s not just companionship, it’s family. Both boys completed two weeks of OFF LEASH K9 training, and they did very well. Like any training, it must be consistently reinforced at home to be successful long-term. They will thrive with an adopter who understands that training is an ongoing commitment and is happy to continue working with them—particularly if they choose to keep them together.

Hi, I'm Max and I hail from Texas. Just to let you know, if you've ever heard the phrase "age is just a number", well, it is definitely true. While I am a senior gentleman, I am definitely medium energy and would enjoy a good long walk or two a day. I do fine on leash, appear to be housetrained, and don't mind my crate. In general, I am very confident and friendly with people and other dogs, but I've never been cat tested, my foster thinks I may be a "chaser". Not to harm one, but they might be fun to play with. As for dogs, I prefer a slower introduction, as sometimes I will growl a bit before getting comfortable with my playmates. So, if you are ready for a little senior spunk in your life, apply today - btw, I am not a barker, so would be apartment/Townhome friendly! Harry is a 15-year-old Maltese mix, and Sally is his 12-year-old Yorkie mix daughter. These two are a bonded pair and must be adopted together—they’ve spent their lives side by side and truly thrive in each other’s company. They are doing wonderfully in their foster home and have settled into a comfortable routine. Harry and Sally enjoy playing with each other occasionally, but their favorite pastime is snuggling on the couch and being close to their people. If you’re looking for loyal companions who just want to be where the humans are, these two fit the bill perfectly. They are pee pad trained, and continuing to work on house training with good progress. At night, they sleep well in a crate—after a short period of initial protest, they settle in and rest quietly. Harry and Sally are slowly warming up to the resident dogs in their foster home and would do best with other calm, quiet dogs who respect their space. Their experience with cats and children is unknown, so a calmer household is likely the best match for them.
