Meet Paprika- the best cuddle buddy you’ll find! Despite his rough start after arriving here at the shelter, Paprika loves nothing more than being by his people- especially the one person who he chooses to love most! Paprika bonds very strongly with one person, and will shower them with constant love and affection- and will ask for endless belly rubs in return, of course! Even though he has one eye, he refuses to let that slow him down, and Paprika is always ready to follow his person wherever they go, even if that means braving the cold outdoors! Despite not being a fan of being left alone, Paprika is working hard on his crate training in his foster home, and will settle down in a cozy crate with a nice bed for him. Paprika is also a master of the cue “sit”, and will happily sit down and look at you with the most adorable face if it means getting yummy snacks! With treats being a big motivator, Paprika is eager to learn more cues to help him be the best buddy he can be for you. If you’re looking for a perfect sized lap dog to spend hours at home with you soaking up your attention, Paprika sounds like the perfect match for you! Paprika is an All-Star dog! His adoption comes with some extra benefits at time of adoption. Their adoption appointment includes a discussion with our Training Team, and they will go home with their very own no-pull-harness and a few enrichment goodies to help get them off to a good start! He was born in a commercial breeding facility and had not been exposed to the same things a puppy born in your home has. However, he is adjusting very well and will blossom in his own family. Like all puppies, he will need structure and a patient, loving home. We recommend training for all puppies—not only to give Jordan important learning skills, but because you and your puppy will create a stronger bond just by going through the training together. Jordan is fully vetted. He has been neutered, received age-appropriate vaccines, and is microchipped. Subsequent vaccines will be at the expense of his adopter. His adoption donation is $1200..00. He is on the hunt for his own completely committed family. Little dogs can live to be 20+ years old, so Liam wants to be sure his family is all in for better or for worse! IF INTERESTED IN A PUPPY (UNDER 12 MONTHS): You must have a very flexible work schedule or someone home all day. Puppies need to be let out to potty often. They need socialization, bonding, and training (housetraining and behavioral training). Peppermint Bark is a spayed, cheerful girl with a sweet spirit and a happy outlook on life. Despite having a very difficult past—she was heartbreakingly left behind when her previous owners moved, with severely overgrown fur and mammary tumors—Peppermint Bark has remained loving, gentle, and full of joy. She is now receiving the care and love she deserves and is ready for a forever home of her own. She is potty trained and also comfortable using potty pads indoors, crate trained, listens well on a leash, and does well with other dogs. Peppermint Bark’s happiness is contagious—she expresses it with adorable “happy dances” on her back legs, big joyful stretches while lounging, playful air nips with clicking teeth, and a tail that spins like a little helicopter. Peppermint Bark enjoys food, relaxing on the couch (not sleeping—just quietly observing), being near her people without needing to be on top of them, and going for long outdoor walks when the weather is mild.
