Story
Meet Crystal: A beautiful soul ready for her fresh start! Im a quiet, gentle 6-year-old Bichon weighing just 8 pounds, and I am leaving my past as a breeding dog far behind me. After years of spending my days in a cage, the stress was getting to be too much. Luckily, the rescue stepped in just in time to show me what freedom feels like! I am looking for a patient adopter who can guide me through the basics of retirement. I'm not house-trained just yet, but if you take me outside frequently, I will absolutely get there. While I'm still learning how to navigate the big world, I already excel at being a cuddly, affectionate companion. I come fully vettedspayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and with a health certificate. I do have a mild (level 2 to 3) heart murmur that requires a quick check-up at my yearly vet exams, which is why my adoption fee is so low. I have so much love to give and just want a family to call my own. I promise I'll be loyal and your biggest fan. Please choose me to be your sidekick Adoption Fee: $200 Location: Fostered in Salem Lakes, WI Apply today: thecharlieprojectdogrescue.com DATCP #506053 Please visit our website www.thecharlieprojectdogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

Story
Monty is an affectionate little boy with a lot of love to give! He likes to jump up on his hind legs to say hello and gives little kisses. When he’s excited, he will spin in a circle and sit nicely. He is a very smart boy and in a few weeks has already learned to respond to his name and to “sit.” Monty enjoys trying new treats, playing with toys, following you around the house, being held like a baby, going on walks, and sitting on your laps. Monty is very friendly with new people and he is working on greeting dogs on leash a little bit more politely. He does great when he meets dogs off leash. He has not shown any aggression whatsoever toward his foster dog siblings, even when he’s on leash and they aren’t. Monty is crate trained and keeps his crate clean overnight and when his foster parents aren't home. He is still working on being fully house trained but is making excellent progress at his foster home! Although we don’t know his exact breed, we suspect he may be some combination of mini poodle, bichon, and/or Maltese. He doesn’t shed and doesn’t bother his foster mom’s allergies. Monty has a crooked tail and wide gait between his back legs but this doesn’t bother him or slow him down and his legs have gotten much stronger after a few weeks at his foster home. Monty can run, jump, and go on long walks just like any little dog! If you are looking for a sweet boy to be your new buddy and love you unconditionally from day 1, look no further! He is more than ready to find his forever home and meet the people who will treat him like the little prince he is!

Story
Hi, my name is Bailey 😊 I am a 4 month old Chonzer ( bichon and schnauzer mix) . I have a lot of energy but also love my snuggle time. I am doing much better on potty training, as where I came from I used pee pads. I love running around with my foster pack. I can be a little bossy( little girl syndrome) but I just want everyone to play and run with me. I’m not sure about cats yet. I am working on basic commands and walking on a leash. I am up to date on all my vaccines and my spay will be covered by Tiny Paws Small Dog Rescue when I’m old enough, if you go to a vet that works with us or Tiny Paws will pay a portion for the vet of your choice. If you’d like to meet me, fill out an adoption application at tinypawssmalldogrescue.org or if you have questions, email my foster mom at soderlundb@yahoo.com. I am being fostered in Mount Pleasant, Wi. I’m looking forward to meeting you ❤️🐶 Bailey

Story
About Me: Name: Toby Breed (or best guess): Shih Tzu/Bichon Approximate Age: 4 yr Gender: Male Approximate Weight: 12 lb Adoption Fee: $495 Requirements: Loving family Why In Rescue: Owner Surrender Profile:   Toby and his friend Pedro were surrendered to rescue when their family was no longer able to care for them.  They get along as a pair, or can be adopted separately.  Their prior owner said they are housetrained.  They are good in the car, sleep in a crate, and walk well on leashes.  They had been exposed to older children and said to be fine with cats.  If interested in Pedro and/or Toby, please fill out the pre-adoption application. We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $495 for most adults and up to $650 for puppies which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $100 (up to $260 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $100 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS June 8, 2026, 10:58 pm

Story
Jordan is a delightful Bichon Frise puppy! He is a bouncy happy little fella. He will delight you and keep you smiling. He was born in a commercial breeding facility and had not been exposed to the same things a puppy born in your home has. However, he is adjusting very well and will blossom in his own family. Like all puppies, he will need structure and a patient, loving home. We recommend training for all puppies—not only to give Jordan important learning skills, but because you and your puppy will create a stronger bond just by going through the training together. Jordan is fully vetted. He has been neutered, received age-appropriate vaccines, and is microchipped. Subsequent vaccines will be at the expense of his adopter. His adoption donation is $1200..00. He is on the hunt for his own completely committed family. Little dogs can live to be 20+ years old, so Liam wants to be sure his family is all in for better or for worse! IF INTERESTED IN A PUPPY (UNDER 12 MONTHS): You must have a very flexible work schedule or someone home all day. Puppies need to be let out to potty often. They need socialization, bonding, and training (housetraining and behavioral training). If you work long hours, have a busy social schedule, or are not financially secure, then a puppy is not for you. We adopt in and to the local Chicago metro area. We require home visits. If you would like to apply to be considered as an adoption candidate, please fill out an application for adoption on our website at: https://www.rescuetailsanimalwelfare.org/info/adoption We are all volunteers with full-time jobs. We try to get back to all applicants within 72 hours. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us via email/ Do not call. There is no one to answer a phone, RescueTailsAnimalWelfare@gmail.com. Rescue Tails Animal Welfare is an in home volunteer foster based rescue. We are not a brick and mortar. There is no building to visit If you aren’t looking to adopt but still would like to help, please consider a donation for his food, housing, and veterinary care.
