River was found living behind a gas station on a very busy intersection. She was skittish and would not let anyone near her. I fed her for about 6 months and was finally able to catch her. I have had her since March of 2024 and have found her to be highly intelligent, gentle, good with all animals and people. I have two small stray that I have had for over 6 years and she is very good with them as well as with Cash an 80 pound Boxer/Pit Bull that I found starving on the street on my way to feed River. They have both been here since March 2024 and have bonded wonderfully. River has been to the Groomers twice for a bath and nail trim and the staff were amazed at how good she was. She is a loving and precious soul but I can't keep 4 dogs. If adopted and for any reason it didn't work out I would take her back immediately as she deserves love and stability.

This handsome boy is Mack! He arrived at the shelter as a lost dog with ID on 2/12, and sadly, no one has come to reclaim him. The volunteers describe Mack as a playful and silly boy! He is a happy, busybody with lots of energy. Mack does know how to sit nicely in exchange for treats! If you're looking for a dog to join you on the trails or on runs, please come meet Mack...he's always up for a good adventure! Mack is approximately 2 years old, and weighs 50 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, has been neutered and microchipped, and did test negative for heartworms. Mack is waiting patiently in kennel 18; his ID # is 16950. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained.
