Anastasia is a friendly and sweet young Boxer/Black Mouth Cur Mix. She weighs 38lbs, and could still mature and grow a little more, as she&#39s estimated to be around 15mo old. BarkVille Dog Rescue saved Anastasia after she ended up at a rural animal shelter completely emaciated and covered in a skin infection. This young girl had also already given birth to puppies! Anastasia has loved learning what the good life is all about in her foster home - she is very happy, loves other dogs, and is very snuggly! She is also kid and cat friendly. Anastasia has already picked up on house training and crate training, and already knows the &#39sit&#39 command. She&#39s a medium energy girl who reportedly gets the cutest zoomies, but also loves downtime curled up by your side. Anastasia is still getting used to &#34normal&#34 life in a home, so she&#39s learning about car rides, loud noises, and new places. She can be a little nervous and shy at times but is constantly improving and gaining confidence. She would love a forever home with another friendly playful dog, and preferably a fenced yard. She is very loving, and will make a wonderful addition for a lucky family! Anastasia is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped.     When you walk in the door, this beauty will always give you the ultimate fangirl welcome. Shayleen loves her people and always makes sure they get a proper welcome. She’s never met a stranger, so she sees everyone as ‘her people.’  Shayleen loves to go on leisurely walks with her focus on taking in the good sniffs vs. getting in steps. Shayleen loves to sniff, in fact, it seems to be one of her favorite pastimes. She likes to bring one of her favorite toys along while she walks. She seems to think that they appreciate the fresh air too. Her stuffed ball, her rubber kong, and her baseball are some of her go-to toys. But, if she doesn’t start out her walk with a toy, she will usually find one along the way. She can’t miss an opportunity to make a friend. She also loves balls and is willing to fetch them, but she will bring the ball back to you in her own time. She loves her exercise but appreciates her downtime as well. Shayleen has a wonderfully balanced approach to life.  Shayleen is 7 years old and about 50 pounds. She’s been learning her manners and is becoming quite the polite lady. She doesn’t mind walking on busier trails or around doggy friends but isn’t interested in living with another dog. Lady Bird is a four-year-old, 55-pound lab mix that deserved better than she got. She lived with her owner inside the home for her first year, but someone with cats moved in, and Lady Bird began to chase and play with them. They bought a 10' x 10' kennel for the yard, and she has been there for the last three years. To make matters worse, she had no shelter other than a piece of blue tarp tied in the corner that didn't even block the rain, much less protect her from the cold, until a couple of months ago, the neighbor begged animal control to make them get a dog house for her. One of the neighbors decided they wanted to adopt her and took her to the vet, but when they found out she had heartworms, they no longer wanted her. The vet called us to see if we could help her. We thought we had a foster for her, but they fell through, so her big rescue turned into a small kennel at the vet, where she had been for two weeks. She is understandably nervous about all the scary new things, and we would love to find a quiet foster home where we can learn more about her and hopefully find a forever home. We promised her a better life when we took her in. Can someone step up to foster her so that we can find her a forever home? If you can help, please email info@atlantalabrescue.com. FROM THE FOSTER: The foster said Lady Bird is her "heart dog." She has fostered 34 dogs in the past year, and said that she "loves more" than any dog that she has had. She is also super smart, loves prancing in the backyard and sitting in the sun. During the day, while she is working, Lady Bird lies on the couch or at her feet and doesn't make a peep. She will tell you when she needs to go out, snores at night and walks well with a harness.  There is a home out there somewhere for Lady Bird and if not the foster said she would take her back to foster in a couple of weeks, if needed.
