I adopted Clarence from Gwinnett Animal Welfare in November 2023. His name there was Rilo. He is 2 years, 7 months old. I hope to find him a loving home as he is a very sweet dog and a fun pet/companion. But due to the fact that I live in an apartment and work full time, he doesn’t get the exercise he needs. My apartment management has also assessed a monthly pet fee that I cannot afford. Clarence is great once he gets comfortable with you… which doesn’t take long, but until then he will bark. He is very smart, well behaved, walks well on a leash and in easily trainable. Oh! And as you have probably noticed by looking at his pictures… he has an underbite. He will make you a good pet… I just can’t keep him.

Meet Rita! Sweet Rita spent over 4 months sitting in an overcrowded metro area shelter just waiting to be saved after her puppies were aborted. We can only imagine how sad, confused, and scared she was! That's all behind her now though! Rita is such a sweet happy girl now that she's out of the shelter and settled into her foster home! She spends her days running and playing with all of her dog friends and her nights snuggled up with a soft blanket - no more scary shelters for her! If no one is available for playtime, she is happy to entertain herself by throwing balls and toys up in the air and catching them. She's just the kind of dog that can always put you in a better mood! Lucky Rita landed at animal control as a stray in the Fall. But by Winter a Good Samaritan plucked her out as a foster and put her through training to make her stand out from the crowd. While in training, she learned to temper her play with other dogs a bit, as she used to have a tendency to get over-stimulated and rowdy. Over time, Rita has learned how to politely engage with other pups and to pick up on their cues when they're tired of playing. She is very eager to please and learn, so she looks forward to her very own person who can continue to show her the ropes of pet life. Visitors to the home are a little bit stressful to Rita, so at this time we are looking for a child free, low traffic home for her. Rita thrives with routine and few surprises. As far as love goes, it comes quite naturally to Miss Rita. She is always happy to greet you and lean into you for affection. Kind to our little 10 lb muttie mixes and other visitors to the house both human and canine, Raelynn has a fantastic personality. She is untried with cats; we are working on not chasing squirrels from bird feeders. She is 100% a ball dog, and she is a fast and active runner who enjoys the outdoors and a super active lifestyle. Raelynn is nonstop until the evening, and then a stern “time for night night!” sends her straight to sleep through the night. She has never had any potty accidents in our house, and she has never chewed up ANY of our possessions. She is perfect! With a sleek and soft honeyed - brown coat, beautiful brown doe eyes, and a lovely expression of loving calmness, it is way too easy to fall for this girl. Could you be the one to be her one?
