Story
I’m an affectionate kitty with beautiful soft black fur, pretty green eyes, and tiny flecks of white that make me extra special. My journey started on a very cold night the day after Thanksgiving in a Costco parking lot. Where I bravely hopped into my foster family’s car.. and I’ve been with them ever since! At first, I was a bit shy and unsure about toys, but now I absolutely love playtime and constantly following my foster family around. I’m very smart, have a good vocabulary already and love to chat, and am always ready for a good conversation! I’m still learning boundaries—mainly that I don’t like being handled all the time. I enjoy love and attention on my terms but also like to do my own thing. Because of this, I’d do best with a family that understands cat body language and im still learning to be comfortable with things I’ve never seen before.I’m looking for a quiet, loving home (with adults or older kids) where I can be the only pet (for now) and continue to grow into my best self. I’ve been spayed, vaccinated, and dewormed—completely ready to find my forever family! If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and independent companion, I’d love to meet you! 💕If you are interested in adopting please complete our online application: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=lv2236&method=online_form_html&formid=43Adoption Fee is $100.00All kittens are fully vetted prior to being adopted, FVRCP, FeLV and Rabies Vaccines, FeLV / FIV Tested, Spayed / Neutered and Microchipped.

Story
Your eyes are not deceiving you, you are seeing double! Woody and Andy are practically identical twins, and twins are basically built in friends. Definitely not double trouble, but double the fun!Woody is a friendly gray and white short-haired male kitten. He warms up quickly to a new environment but the way to win him over is through play time, pets and Churru treats. When he’s not busy playing with his brothers he loves cuddling with his mom or Andy. Woody is easy going and would do great in a home that can give him plenty of playtime and love.If you are interested in adopting please complete our online application: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=lv2236&method=online_form_html&formid=43Adoption Fee is $150.00All kittens are fully vetted prior to being adopted, FVRCP, FeLV and Rabies Vaccines, FeLV / FIV Tested, Spayed / Neutered and Microchipped.

Story
Meet Sharif & Shakur! Sharif and Shakur are twin brothers with sleek, solid black coats and hearts full of love. These bonded boys were rescued as bottle babies and raised together, which has created an unbreakable bond between them. Sweet, playful, and full of personality, they’re always up to something—whether it’s chasing toys, wrestling each other, or curling up together for a nap. Their gentle, affectionate nature makes them easy to love, and they’re happiest when they’re together. Sharif and Shakur must be adopted as a pair, and they’ll thrive in a home that appreciates their playful energy and the special connection they share. If you’re looking for double the love and double the fun, these brothers are ready to be your forever companions. DOB: 2025 Our adoption fees are $125 for one, $200 for two, and cover the spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, combo test, deworming, and a collar with ID tag. We require that our adopters are 21 years of age or older, keep cats indoors only (unless safely in a harness/leash or catio), and do not declaw.

Story
Jax is a handsome senior black Bombay/DSH gentleman that was born approximately 06/07/2013. He has gorgeous golden eyes.  Jax was rescued with his sister, Rowen, from a local neighborhood when he was a kitten. Through NBCR, they were adopted into a loving home and lived together happily for over 10 years. Sadly,  Rowen has passed away and their human mom has recently moved into a full-time memory care living facility. As you can imagine, this has been a very stressful time for him, but once he was returned to us and got some much needed TLC, he has bounced right back. We hope to find him another loving home in which to live out his remaining golden years. Jax is the most loving, sweet boy! Although he is a senior, he plays like a kitten. He is curious and, literally, the sweetest boy his foster mom has ever met! He LOVES to chase the laser light and to play with his toys. He also loves to watch the birds and squirrels outside the window. He likes scratchers, but seems to favor the cheaper cardboard ones. He uses the litter box and has never had any accidents. When Jax came to us he didn't have many teeth, but that doesn't bother him at all. He is on a wet food diet and the vet says that's good since he needs to lose at least a pound! Added benefit - no unpleasant dental cleanings required! Jax purrs non-stop when he is around you and demands pets. He doesn't seem to be a fan of dogs. His foster mom does not know how he would be with other cats. He does still scare easily, but if you can make him feel safe, he will be your best friend and warm very quickly. His foster mom says he is the perfect pet!  Jax is microchipped and currently in a foster home. His adoption fee is $105.June 12, 2025, 6:43 pm

Story
Chandler is solid black with beautiful gold eyes, like Bombays. He plays hard with his buddy Mousetro for short periods of time and then seeks out affection and cuddles from the foster mom. He is sweet and laid back. He would do well with someone who is home a lot. He hasn't been around dogs or young children. He has been best buddies with Mousetro since they were only weeks old, so we'd like to see them go to the same home. Chandler is currently in a foster home. If you have any questions, please email cowtownpets@gmail.com. If you are interested in applying to adopt Chandler & Mousetro, please submit an online application at cowtownpets.org. Chandler has been neutered and microchipped, shots are up-to-date, had wormer and flea prevention. The adoption fee for the pair is $170 + tax.

Story
This beautiful girl is Cheery! She's just about the sweetest, sassiest cat a person could ask for. Her favorite things in the world are scratching posts, welcome mats, attention, vigorous back scratches, and sleeping next to your pillow. She gets along with cats & dogs just fine! Likes to be queen of the house, and WILL set boundaries though. She is NOT a special needs kitty, but she is an EXTRA needs kitty for the following reasons: -Age? Unknown. Could be 3 or 13, we have no idea. We don't think she's too old though... -Teeth? Missing quite a few. -Can only eat canned wet food or homemade cat food, on a schedule, or she may throw up. (We can recommend brands or recipes!) Cheery landed in our laps about a year ago, and we love her dearly: but we're making a cross country move soon and are not sure how well she'll handle a 14+ hour drive... We are prepared to take her with us, but decided it would be best to try and find her a new home first. We're sure you'll love her too. :3c

Story
Grey-c is 5 and 1/2 years old. She was found by my family and I underneath my grandma's house along with her mom and many other brothers and sisters. When we found her, she was stuck in a pipe which was very traumatic for her. Today, she is shy, skittish, sweet, and very fond of cuddles once she warms up to you. She's never bit or been aggressive. She likes to find little spaces to sleep or hide. She has become vocal now that she does not live around other cats (it's nice to see her find her own voice because she's always been so quiet.) She does very well around other cats. She deserves a loving home with an owner who is as happy to be with her as she is to be with them. She needs someone who is home often to be with her. She's just the sweetest cat!
