Story
Jax is a handsome senior black Bombay/DSH gentleman that was born approximately 06/07/2013. He has gorgeous golden eyes.  Jax was rescued with his sister, Rowen, from a local neighborhood when he was a kitten. Through NBCR, they were adopted into a loving home and lived together happily for over 10 years. Sadly,  Rowen has passed away and their human mom has recently moved into a full-time memory care living facility. As you can imagine, this has been a very stressful time for him, but once he was returned to us and got some much needed TLC, he has bounced right back. We hope to find him another loving home in which to live out his remaining golden years. Jax is the most loving, sweet boy! Although he is a senior, he plays like a kitten. He is curious and, literally, the sweetest boy his foster mom has ever met! He LOVES to chase the laser light and to play with his toys. He also loves to watch the birds and squirrels outside the window. He likes scratchers, but seems to favor the cheaper cardboard ones. He uses the litter box and has never had any accidents. When Jax came to us he didn't have many teeth, but that doesn't bother him at all. He is on a wet food diet and the vet says that's good since he needs to lose at least a pound! Added benefit - no unpleasant dental cleanings required! Jax purrs non-stop when he is around you and demands pets. He doesn't seem to be a fan of dogs. His foster mom does not know how he would be with other cats. He does still scare easily, but if you can make him feel safe, he will be your best friend and warm very quickly. His foster mom says he is the perfect pet!  Jax is microchipped and currently in a foster home. His adoption fee is $105.June 12, 2025, 6:43 pm

Story
Meet Sharif & Shakur! Sharif and Shakur are twin brothers with sleek, solid black coats and hearts full of love. These bonded boys were rescued as bottle babies and raised together, which has created an unbreakable bond between them. Sweet, playful, and full of personality, they’re always up to something—whether it’s chasing toys, wrestling each other, or curling up together for a nap. Their gentle, affectionate nature makes them easy to love, and they’re happiest when they’re together. Sharif and Shakur must be adopted as a pair, and they’ll thrive in a home that appreciates their playful energy and the special connection they share. If you’re looking for double the love and double the fun, these brothers are ready to be your forever companions. DOB: 2025 Our adoption fees are $125 for one, $200 for two, and cover the spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, combo test, deworming, and a collar with ID tag. We require that our adopters are 21 years of age or older, keep cats indoors only (unless safely in a harness/leash or catio), and do not declaw.

Story
(Might need to update rabies shot) She's around 5 years old. She's a sweet cat but prefers to be the only cat unless the other cats aren't to rough with her. She doesn't like toddlers but older kids she's fine with. She doesn't like being cornered by them. She gets really cuddly and will meow at you and roll all over the floor for you to scratch her neck. For the most part she just relaxes around the house and she's quite calm, until she wants to run off and meow at the wall for no reason. Don's get startled by that, she just has random zoomies.

Story
These are Remy and Ramen. They both are spayed females. Both have some vaccines. Remy is the black one. She is 4 years old. Ramen is Carey. She is 2 years old. The reason I am looking for a new home for them, is because I had a stroke in May and the situation has become stressing for me. It makes me very sad that I have to take these measurements. I actually have another female cat. She has become very nervous and has created conflict between them three. I had to put her in a room. Since she is the oldest, has had leg surgery, and is very shy, I want to keep her. And be able to let her out of her enclosure. I want to give the other two that have a big possibility to be adopted, the opportunity to become part of a very loving family. Both are very good with humans. They love to be petted and be around people. They can be taken together or individually. We are in Dallas area, by Balch Springs and Seagoville. Fee: $35

Story
Cat is gentle, but since was found outside, it might be scared of new things. She doesn’t really play since she’s a mother, but does take care of her kittens. I assume Onyx is three to five years old. I want her to find a home where she gets to feel more free with bigger space. She also enjoys catnip, but give a small amount. She also tends to loaf a lot around.

Story
I’m an affectionate kitty with beautiful soft black fur, pretty green eyes, and tiny flecks of white that make me extra special. My journey started on a very cold night the day after Thanksgiving in a Costco parking lot. Where I bravely hopped into my foster family’s car.. and I’ve been with them ever since! At first, I was a bit shy and unsure about toys, but now I absolutely love playtime and constantly following my foster family around. I’m very smart, have a good vocabulary already and love to chat, and am always ready for a good conversation! I’m still learning boundaries—mainly that I don’t like being handled all the time. I enjoy love and attention on my terms but also like to do my own thing. Because of this, I’d do best with a family that understands cat body language and im still learning to be comfortable with things I’ve never seen before.I’m looking for a quiet, loving home (with adults or older kids) where I can be the only pet (for now) and continue to grow into my best self. I’ve been spayed, vaccinated, and dewormed—completely ready to find my forever family! If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and independent companion, I’d love to meet you! 💕If you are interested in adopting please complete our online application: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=lv2236&method=online_form_html&formid=43Adoption Fee is $100.00All kittens are fully vetted prior to being adopted, FVRCP, FeLV and Rabies Vaccines, FeLV / FIV Tested, Spayed / Neutered and Microchipped.

Story
Melba will be ready to go home with herpawfect family the second or third week of June! The only girl of her bunch, sweet Melba can rumble with the best of them. Very mindful and very demure, Melba is a playful but gentle black and white tabby. Reserved but confident, Melba (and brother Pie) are the most thoughtful and introverted of their litter. A kitten of Peaches, a calico beauty and the best ever momma,Mels siblings are Crumble, Pie, and Cobbler. Melba would blossom in a low to medium energy household where she can get plenty of attention, and especially with another kitten or pet for companionship. Consider adopting one of her littermates!Mel is ok around other cats, has been exposed to small dogs, and is litter trained. She would be thepawfect companion - apply for her today! Story
I adopted my boy Frodo in 2013 when he was a tiny kitten who fit in the palm of my hand. For the past 12 years, I have raised him with love, care, and devotion. He has been more than a pet - he's been family. Unfortunately, I have developed a cat dander allergy and, despite being on medication, it has become increasingly difficult to manage, especially with my long work hours. As much as it breaks my heart, I can no longer provide Frodo with the attention and comfort he deserves. He is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and undeniably handsome (though I may be a little biased). My only wish is to find him a loving, stable home where he will be cherished just as much as he has been with me. I truly love my boy like he is my own child, and letting him go is the hardest decision I've had to make - but it is for his well-being. I kindly ask for occasional photo/video updates and, if possible, the opportunity to visit him from time to time.
