We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). Meet adoptable BENTLEY!!  Bentley is a 4 month old border collie mix and is currently in a foster home quickly learning how to be part of a family.  Bentley is one of a litter of 6 puppies raised at CompAnimals shelter.  Four of Bentleys siblings have been adopted and are doing well in their new homes! Now it’s Bentley‘s turn! Bentley has learned so much during his 3 weeks at his foster home!  When he arrived everything was new and scary to him.  He is now a confident boy and is crate trained (voluntarily goes in his crate for bedtime or naps with no messes), walks nicely on a leash, knows basic commands (sit, stay, no barking, no jumping), is great with kids, people and other dogs.  He also loves to hike and is learning to fetch a ball.  Bentley is housebroken and will stand by the door to go out.  Overall Bentley is a friendly and easy going puppy who loves to play and snuggle. A great family Dog! We do ask that Adopters of puppies under 12 months of age attend a positive reinforcement basic obedience class. Apply at www.companimals.org. ENZO FERRARI is one of Maserati’s six puppies. MAZI is a sweet girl, a good mama and loves everybody, even strangers! We’re hoping the puppies take on her personality. Dad was a traveling salesman – most likely of the hound of variety. Attaching a copy of the DNA results to this listing. The highest percentage of their heritage is of the herding breeds so we’re looking for active, dog oriented homes. Enzo is a rough and tumble guy, often on the top of the play pile! He is easy to spot because he’s the only one with two black front feet. Adoption fee of $350 will cover a eventual spay/Neuter when they are old enough. Vets are now recommending after the first heat for girls snd after the growth plates close for the boys - This helps prevent some health problems as they mature. The puppies have received their deworming and will have their first vaccine And are totally weaned from mom. They turned eight weeks old on Easter day and are available now. We do ask that Adopters of puppies under 12 months of age attend a basic obedience class with them. We find that this results in a more confident, settled pup and reduces returns down the road. Great puppy, needs more space than our home can offer. He needs space to run free. He is energetic and athletic. He is crate trained and great on walks. He loves fetch and his house trained. He knows sit, come, leave it and can catch. He definitely gets the zoomies, but he is playful, sweet and good natured. He plays with our older dog well. He is good with our kids. He needs more yard space than we can give. He goes to dog parks and doggie day care often and is well liked. He is loves to chew, and loves the Bark Box super chewer toys. He is up to date on vaccines. He’s s neutered and microchipped. He is 18 months old.
