Christine Risley 1:34 PM (2 minutes ago) to me Meet Oreo! My name is Oreo. I bet you don't know why. I'll give you a hint. It's because I'm so sweet. My foster mom thinks I am a Border Collie Bully mix. I am about 8 months old, and I am still learning my manners. I love to run and play with my foster siblings, but I can get too excited and start nipping at them sometimes but it’s my herding instinct and my foster mom is working on correcting me. It’s not aggressive just puppy love! I love to play with toys and chew on bones. My favorite toys are the ones I can pull the cream filling out of. I also love playing with the giant sized Jolly Ball outside My foster mom says I'm very smart and I learn quickly when I am motivated to do so. I love treats so I listen very well if there is some sort of food involved. I have learned how to sit, lay down, leave it, and I am working on learning how to shake. I am crate trained but I have figured out how to get the crate door open, so my foster mom has to put clips on the latch to keep me from opening the door. When I initially met my foster dad, I was scared of him, and I would bark at him every time I saw him . However, when he came closer, I would get quiet and enjoy the attention he would give me.. Something in my past may have caused me to fear men but with continued reassurance I should grow out of the initial fear. My foster mom has an eight-year-old little girl and while she can get on my nerves at times, I am very happy to play with her. I would love to find my forever family and show everyone just how sweet I can be! Oreo is a spirited pup who would love a playful doggie sibling and a fenced yard in my forever home. ❤️❤️❤️ If interested please contact Christine at christine@therescueexpress.org Sent from my iPhone

Story
✨Meet Ernie!✨ Ernie is a 4-month-old Long Haired GSD/Border Collie mix who came into us as a surrender from a commercial breeding facility (aka Puppy Mill) in Lancaster County. Puppy mills are producing puppies at alarmingly high rates. It is easier for them to give up puppies who are not easily sold/don’t sell as they usually have multiple litters of puppies for sale at the same time. Adopting a puppy mill survivor is life-changing—for you and them. For these dogs, everything is new and often overwhelming: people, houses, stairs, leashes, food bowls, collars, toys, TVs, ovens, doorways, pavement…the list goes on. They need adopters who can move slowly, be patient, keep expectations reasonable, and provide the understanding and tools they need to grow into happy, confident companions. Patience, positive reinforcement, and understanding are key! With the right guidance, puppy mill survivors can blossom into well-socialized, joyful dog- so our goal is always to ensure every adopter is fully prepared to give them the life and environment they need to truly thrive! Bert is a sweet but shy puppy who will require a family up to the task of providing him the ample physical/mental exercise and training that all puppies require. Puppies require a family who can continue their basic training and socialization skills to grow into confident and happy adult dogs! Herding breed experience is always strongly preferred! If you are interested in being considered for them please apply on our website at www.angelsretreat.org 💕🐾 Angel’s Retreat West Chester, PA PA Kennel License 17335

Story
Meet Calli Calli is an almost 7‑year‑old Border Collie mix who is ready for a true forever home after a long period of transition. She and her smaller canine friend spent the past year boarding at PetSmart when their owner was no longer able to keep them. Recently, when boarding was no longer an option, the dogs were surrendered into our care so Calli could finally get the fresh start she deserves. Since joining us, Calli has been an absolute ray of sunshine. She’s happy, social, energetic, and clearly enjoys being around people. Her cheerful demeanor and zest for life have made her a favorite with everyone she meets. According to her previous owner, Calli was crate trained and house trained, had free roam of the home when left alone, and was non‑destructive—in short, a certified good dog. She knows how to live nicely in a home and is ready to settle back into one with ease. Calli would love a family that appreciates an active, joyful companion and is ready to include her as a true member of the household. If you’re looking for a well‑mannered, happy dog with great house habits and lots of love to give, Calli may be your perfect match. She would need dog meets with any resident dogs. She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. Apply for adoption at www.phoenixanimalrescue.com Adoption fee: $500 Phoenix Animal Rescue Chester Springs, Pa Kennel License #5152
