This is incredibly hard for us, but we are looking for the right home for our dog, Dakota. ❤️ We have had her for 6 years, and she has been a wonderful dog and best friend. Unfortunately, because of our work schedules, she isn't getting the time and attention she deserves, and we love her enough to recognize that. Dakota is very loving, smart, playful, and loves to cuddle. She is good with cats and older kids but has not been around babies. She needs a calm, quieter home and would not do well in a noisy or chaotic environment. She pulls on the leash but is smart and can be retrained. She should be the only dog, as she has never been properly socialized with other dogs. Most importantly, please be patient with her. After 6 years with the same family, she will need time to adjust and learn to trust her new home. We want someone who will love her, play with her, cuddle her, and give her the time she deserves. ❤️🐾

Jack is a very handsome and smart boy. He has a lot of energy as he’s a herding breed less than a year old. He would do really well in a single dog household with no other cats or children until he hones in on his skills. He likes other dogs a bunch but he needs one on one attention for a while before having any siblings. He would do well as a farm dog to protect livestock or to be someone’s working shadow as he’s intensely smart and loyal. I found Jack dumped in 115 degree heat outside of a remote gas station in Arizona. At the time he was around 10 months old. I made it my mission to be a good foster parent while we found him a good home but because of his high energy the other dogs we have do not like him making our job very difficult. In the time we’ve had him we’ve gotten him neutered, all of his shots and an unregistered microchip, as well as his dna test to better understand his needs. The adoption fee goes towards these things.

She is high energy and loves to play, with a very active lifestyle. The ideal situation for this girl would be someone familiar with this breed. She could potentially be a great dog for someone home alone often and would like a dog that wants to be attached at the hip.
