Story
ABOUT WILLOW Willow is a sweet, cuddly girl who loves nothing more than spending time with her people. She can be a bit shy with loud noises, but she’ll quickly look to you for reassurance, she just needs a little comfort to feel safe again. One of Willow’s favorite things in the world is her stuffies! She proudly collects them and will try to carry as many as she can in her mouth when out in the field, it’s quite the adorable sight. She’s a polite girl too, always willing to give up a toy when asked before heading back to her kennel. Willow is a surprisingly agile pup and loves to show off by hopping to the top of her kennel when she’s excited. But once she’s out and about, her calm and gentle side shines through. She’ll quietly ask for pets and melt right into your arms for cuddles. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion with a playful heart and a gentle spirit, Willow might just be your perfect match. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
Meet MARCY, she’s looking for her hero! “Adopted dogs don’t just find homes, they find heroes.” Marcy is a 3-year-old beautiful Border Collie mix. She’s not just beautiful, she’s the kind of breathtaking beauty that makes time pause. Marcy loves to play and have fun in our agility fields. Her heart is like a sponge; she cherishes every minute you spend with her. Kennel life weighs heavily on her gentle spirit. The minute she walks away, she’s so happy and carefree, and her personality shines like the brightest star in the night sky—lighting up everything around her. Marcy’s incredibly sweet, takes treats with the gentlest touch, and her intelligence—true to her breed—is remarkable. Marcy once had a family, but when they moved, she was left behind. She’s been quietly grieving ever since, waiting for someone to see her, love her, and bring her home. She doesn’t ask for much—just a place by your side and a place in your heart. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving best friend who will cherish you every single day, Marcy is 100% ready to be your forever companion. Come meet Marcy! Story
Hello, my name is: MillyApprox. DOB: 05/15/2024Sex/Breed: Spayed female Border Collie/German Shepherd mixWeight: 60 lbsRescued from: Found strayMilly is a young, intelligent, and agile girl who’s ready to find her forever home! Once a stray darting through traffic, she’s now safe, thriving, and eager to bond with her person. Milly loves to run and play in the yard and would make a fantastic hiking, agility, or frisbee partner — she’s athletic without being over the top. She’s currently learning her manners (especially that jumping up isn’t polite!) and is doing wonderfully with a patient, consistent hand. Milly gets along well with other dogs and would love a playful companion or regular doggy social time. She’d benefit from having access to a fenced in yard, and a feline-free home. Please help us find this gorgeous girl the forever home she’s been searching for!All our pets are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting? Meet Our Adventure Squad! We have six energetic, lovable puppies ready to find their forever homes! These cuties are a unique mix of Border Collie and Jack Russell Terriers, surrendered from an Amish farm in Lancaster when they didn’t sell. Now, they’re looking for families who will embrace their zest for life! About the Puppies: Active & Rambunctious: At about 15 lbs each, they’re full of energy and love to play. Happy & Social: They adore people and will bring joy wherever they go. Smart & Curious: With their breed mix, they’re quick learners and thrive on mental stimulation. What They Need: These pups are not for the faint of heart - they’re looking for active families who will take them on adventures, provide plenty of exercise, and keep their minds busy with training and fun activities. Hiking, running, agility, or just lots of playtime—they’ll be your perfect partners in crime! Why You’ll Love Them: If you’re ready for a loyal, loving companion who will fill your days with laughter and excitement, one of these puppies could be your perfect match. They will come neutered/ spayed, vaccinated, microchipped. They would need to meet any resident dogs. At this age, puppy classes will be very important for them to help them grow into the best dogs possible. Please contact Darlene at 302-312-5129 (fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in Newark, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 302-312-5129 (text or call) or via email at fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 November 18, 2025, 9:46 pm

Story
Katie is a very energetic dog. She needs to have a fenced in yard where she can run and exercise. She is 4 years and 10 months old. She gets along with other dogs. We have three cats that she gets along with but does like to play and chase them. I think she would be better in a home that does not have other dogs because she will want all the attention she can get. She is very affectionate. She needs to have exercise and will walk on a leash. She does like to chase squirrels and birds. I have owned Katie since she was a puppy and unfortunately we are going to live fulltime in a rv traveling and Katie will not be able to get the proper attention and exercise that she needs.
