Christine Risley 1:34 PM (2 minutes ago) to me Meet Oreo! My name is Oreo. I bet you don't know why. I'll give you a hint. It's because I'm so sweet. My foster mom thinks I am a Border Collie Bully mix. I am about 8 months old, and I am still learning my manners. I love to run and play with my foster siblings, but I can get too excited and start nipping at them sometimes but it’s my herding instinct and my foster mom is working on correcting me. It’s not aggressive just puppy love! I love to play with toys and chew on bones. My favorite toys are the ones I can pull the cream filling out of. I also love playing with the giant sized Jolly Ball outside My foster mom says I'm very smart and I learn quickly when I am motivated to do so. I love treats so I listen very well if there is some sort of food involved. I have learned how to sit, lay down, leave it, and I am working on learning how to shake. I am crate trained but I have figured out how to get the crate door open, so my foster mom has to put clips on the latch to keep me from opening the door. When I initially met my foster dad, I was scared of him, and I would bark at him every time I saw him . However, when he came closer, I would get quiet and enjoy the attention he would give me.. Something in my past may have caused me to fear men but with continued reassurance I should grow out of the initial fear. My foster mom has an eight-year-old little girl and while she can get on my nerves at times, I am very happy to play with her. I would love to find my forever family and show everyone just how sweet I can be! ABOUT BABY GIRL Baby Girl is a happy-go-lucky 2-year-old Border Collie mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for life! This goofy girl came to HAP from a high-intake shelter in Louisiana when they ran out of space to care for her. Despite all the changes she's experienced, Baby Girl hasn't let anything dampen her spirits. She's full of energy, always ready for an adventure, and just happy to make new friends! Social as can be, Baby Girl loves people and other dogs alike! She's an affectionate, playful pup who enjoys running around the field, chasing tennis balls, and soaking up attention from her human friends. Sometimes her excitement gets the best of her, and she may jump up to greet you, but she's just eager to say hello! Baby Girl has also done well making canine friends during her time with us. She can come on a little strong when meeting other dogs, as her enthusiasm sometimes gets ahead of her manners, but she responds well when her friends let her know she needs to dial it back. With her outgoing personality and endless enthusiasm, Baby Girl is ready to bring plenty of love, laughter, and a little bit of silliness to her future family! ✨Meet Dutchess!✨ Dutchess came to us as a transfer from ACCT Philadelphia after being surrendered to the only open intake shelter serving the entire city of Philadelphia. Dutchess was surrendered due to her previous owner’s health concerns that did not allow them to care for her. She is nervous at first, appearing to never have been properly socialized, but this 1 year old just needs a family willing show her the world and new people are safe! Due to overcrowding in shelters, this sweet dog was at risk of euthanasia but was thankfully transferred into our care to find a forever home. All of our animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchipping, vaccinations, and any other necessary medical care. After adoption, dogs need time to adjust to their new homes and thrive with families who can provide exercise, enrichment, positive reinforcement training, and socialization.
