The program originally started to help retired racing greyhounds learn how to “dog”.Greyhound racing is now illegal in our state, but the program worked so well that they decided to open up to other rescues and accept different breeds. Each dog is teamed up with an inmate who is in their dog training program. This program allows inmates to gain an important skill that they can bring with them when they are released. The head trainers are the best of the best and we are sure that these dogs are going to come out of this program with all kinds of tricks up their little doggy sleeves. Meet Blu! He is a 38-pound, six-month-old boy, born April 6, 2026, in Sanford, FL. We believe he is a Border Collie mix, although his breed is not confirmed. He is neutered, house-trained, and current on vaccinations. He is not crate-trained. Blu regularly attends doggy daycare and has experience socializing with other dogs. He currently lives with two cats. He needs a patient, loving family with time for daily activity, continued training, and a consistent routine. I recently started a new job and no longer have the time to give him the attention he needs. Finding a safe, stable, permanent home is my priority. His rehoming fee is $200, negotiable for an excellent home. Please tell us about your household, pets, dog experience, and daily schedule.

Finn is the epitome of a sweet boy. I know that every pet owner says that but this is the only truth when it comes to Finny. He loves curling up under the blanket like a little fox and he loves to play fetch. He’s an absolute goofball when it comes to toys. When he gets excited he does happy snorts and rubs his entire body against any surface he can find. He gets excited when he sees other dogs and cats because he thinks they’re all his friends, same with all humans. He does not have a single aggressive bone in his body but he is a professional puppy dog eye user and he does know they work. He’s very treat motivated and loves any and all squeaky toys. I am not rehoming him because of anything he has done. This is entirely on me. I thought I was ready for a dog but I am not. I want him to go to a good home.

Dice landed on my door step about a year ago from a downstairs neighbor who could no longer care for him.Dice is reactive towards strangers and this was the same experience I had when first meeting him.I find Dice to be incredibly loving and loyal but his breed requires more activity and, I live in a small condo & i work long hours. Dice needs a forever home with an experienced dog owner who can handle his behavioral issues & provide him love and attention that he deserves.

Not too sure how this little bird hasn’t landed herself a family yet… but somehow, Pigeon is STILL here. Pigeon came to us at just one week old after she and her littermates were found in a dumpster. They were welcomed into the rescue by one of our directors, Kenzie, who cared for them around the clock. Bottle feedings, potty time, sleepless nights… the whole nine yards. And somehow, that tiny little bottle baby grew up. Pigeon is now 5 months old and still waiting for someone to choose her. And genuinely… we’re not sure why. She’s a small mixed-breed Staffy, expected to be around 25–35 pounds full grown, so she’s going to stay a relatively little lady. She can be a little shy when she first meets you, but give her a minute. Once she realizes you’re a friend, she melts right into you. She’s sweet. Social. Loving. Ridiculously cuddly. She will quite literally let you hold her like a baby and happily soak up every second of it. But don’t let the sweet little baby act fool you. She is, in fact, still a puppy. She has energy. She has opinions. She has zoomies. She brings a healthy amount of puppy chaos everywhere she goes. Pigeon is dog friendly, cat friendly AND kid friendly. She’s still working on perfecting her potty training, but she’s learning quickly. She’s smart, eager to learn, and cute enough that it should honestly be illegal. So seriously… WHY has nobody adopted this dog?! Pigeon is: • 5 months old • Spayed • Fully vaccinated • Microchipped • Current on prevention • Current on deworming • Negative fecal • Healthy and ready to GO HOME. We’re located in Orange City, Florida, but we are also open to out-of-state applicants for our dogs. She started her life in a dumpster. She grew up in rescue.
