Story
Freya is a 4yr old Border Collie with a big heart. She is extremely intelligent, loving and laid back. She has been in a single dog household all her life after being adopted from a shelter in New York and has traveled with us from New York to Florida at least twice. She has never been aggressive but barks when other dogs walk by. She is generally a very quiet dog who does not bark much and loves to sit with her head in your lap if allowed. She is looking for a home where she will be loved.

Story
Adult male purebred Border Collie needing a loving new home. He is about 4 1/2 years old, very loving, good with people, and has a tender heart. He is a people pleaser, loves affection, and needs kindness, reassurance, and time with his person. He can get anxious if other dogs invade his space, but he settles when he feels safe and secure. I am rehoming him because I am recovering from cancer and can no longer give him the exercise, attention, walking, and room to run that he deserves. This is heartbreaking for me, but I am trying to do what is best for him. I am not looking to make money from him. I only want him to go to the right home. He would do best with someone patient and understanding, preferably someone familiar with Border Collies or sensitive, high-energy dogs. Please be kind. This is not an easy decision

Story
We are currently fostering a 18-week-old Border Collie/Boxer mix named Boots, and we’re looking for the perfect forever home for him. He is incredibly sweet, loves to cuddle, and will happily lay with you for some quiet time. He already knows basic commands, walks well without a leash, and has been around cats. He can be a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly and has such a loving personality. Boots will come with everything you need to get started: a tub of dry food, a box of wet food, food topper, treats, toys, shampoo and sponge, a really nice crate, plus a raincoat and rain boots (yes, seriously 😂), and a basket of other supplies. We’d really love to find him a great home as soon as possible where he can get the attention and space he deserves.

Story
Baby Saja is a 2YM terrier mix, likely Border or Patterdale terrier crossed with Border Collie. When we took him in, he knew no commands and wasn't leash trained but he's made great progress in both. He's calm around dogs and people on walks, but shows a high prey drive toward cats / small animals, so he'll need a home without them. His original owner was deported, and he was loosely cared for by a neighbor until rescued. He was hit by a car and has a stiff front left leg (i can provide more info).Saja is a pure companion: gentle, quiet, and loving. He never barks at passersby or other dogs, does well alone, and sleeps until you return. He's a little shy at first but warms up beautifully and loves unconditionally. He goes absolutely crazy for belly rubs. Not super treat-motivated, but peanut butter and Pup-Peroni are his weaknesses. He loves ropes, sticks, chew toys.He is an incredible dog who deserves a loving home. If you can offer him that, he will give you his whole heart.

Story
Gemini Zod is a charismatic Aussie mix with a unique blend of charm and energy. This adorable pup came to us initially shy and scared, but it took just a couple of days for him to reveal the true star within. Gemini Zod has transformed into an outgoing and charismatic companion. His big personality shines through, bringing joy and laughter to those around him. Gemini Zod enjoys an extremely active lifestyle. His love for walking, chasing after a ball, and indulging in some bone-chewing sessions is truly delightful to witness. But the real show-stopper is when he decides it's time for zoomies – his playful sprints and twists are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. Gemini Zod is seeking a home that appreciates his lively spirit and is ready to provide the love and engagement he craves.  HE IS EXTREMELY PEOPLE SELECTIVE AND MUST GO TO A VERY EXPERIENCED ADOPTER. PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. Adoption fee is $450 and you can adopt me at WWW.POLKADOGZ.ORG ##2048458##
