Derby is 7 years old with lots of love to give. She is great with kids, loves walks, and knows basic commands. She gets along with other animals and is very friendly and full of energy. She stays home for long hours and wait for us to get her out which makes her an amazing dog. However, we don't want that for her, so we are trying to find a home that have the time to spend with her.

Story
Daisy Mae is a 7-year-old, 75 lb, Border Collie/Heeler mix looking for her forever family. She is UTD, spayed, microchipped and housebroken. Daisy Mae is medium energy and would love a family to relax with after going on walks and chasing balls. She is good with dogs her size or larger but not good with small dogs and not good with cats, and prefers no children. Daisy can be prone to UTI's so she takes a cranberry supplement to help prevent them. She has been known to guard items of high value and would benefit from an active and experienced family that has previous experience with resource guarding behaviors. Training will be provided at no cost to her new family to help ensure her success. Daisy Mae has to find her new forever home because she currently lives with a toddler and needs to be in a home without children under the age of 16 yrs old due to resource guarding behaviors. Daisy's ideal home would be an adult only home that is open to participating in training to make some minor resource guarding issues easier to manage. She is a well-trained, medium energy companion that would make an amazing pet. Please note, Daisy Mae is part of Happy Trails Animal Rescue’s rehoming program. Information provided is based on their current guardian’s statements and limited interaction with volunteers. They are not under the care of the rescue. They are under the care of their current guardian. The owner is subject to placement outside of our organization. We cannot guarantee availability. Adoption fee REDUCED: $ 75 ##1177999##

Story
Zoey is 5 years old, turns 6 on May 12th of 2024. Zoey was brought into our home when we lived in Kansas - she has been all over the country! Zoey is a Border Collie mix, so definitely a working dog. She does enjoy the couch life though. Zoey needs a place where she can have a lot of attention on her. She does well with other animals but does take awhile to warm up. Zoey has a lot of personality. The faces she makes and the way she plays is absolutely her. We are actively working on training now (for leach management, basic obedience, etc.) but she is a very "polite" dog, very good behavior, and just wants all the love.

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! What’s cuter than a bassett hound or a border collie? A bassett/border mix! Well we think she could be a mix of the two. Say hi to Onyx. This approx. 4-year-old, 28-lb. girl is so sweet and just a pure love. She gets along great with other dogs and all humans. She loves her treats and waits patiently for her dinner. She is being kept in a kennel with her brother, but appears housebroken. She walks well on a leash. Sadly, she doesn’t understand what toys are for, as she was dumped on a country road with her brother, and ended up at the shelter. We are assuming she probably never had any toys so she doesn't really know she is supposed to play with them. We would love for her to have a fenced yard to run around in, or at least have access to a yard space. Onyx is waiting for her perfect family who will show her how much she can be loved in return for all the love she has to give. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect forever home for Onyx, please complete an application and tell us more about your family. June 18, 2024, 10:43 pm
