Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Jamison aka Jamie is an almost 6-year-old, 65lb. female border collie/border collie mix whose person passed away. This sweet girl is good with all dogs large and small; she previously lived with a cat and does great with kids. Current kids in her foster home are ages 4, 7, 10 and 14.  She is house trained and crate trained, walks well on a leash, sleeps through the night in her open crate, and rides well in a car. She knows basic commands of sit, stay and paw. This medium-energy girl loves to be outside with you, and we are requiring a fenced yard for her. She absolutely loves dog toys. Her favorites are soccer balls and footballs. She loves playing fetch, and she will bring the ball back to you as you can see in her video. Even though she is good with kids, herding breed dogs such as Jamie may want to herd small children, so small toddlers would probably not be best for her. She also is a very intelligent breed, and will need someone who can provide the time for daily mental stimulation activities such as advanced treat puzzles, shell games with cups, DIY indoor scent searches, muffin tin and tennis ball games, and targeted trick-training sessions. This is not a breed that can be left to just lie around while you work or be left home alone. She will need someone who is home more often than not. She will also need regular brushing and grooming.  She does need to be fed separately because she tends to get growly when another dog approaches while she is eating. She has no issues with another dog when treats are doled out. She is fearful during storms, fireworks and some other loud noises and will retreat to her crate or find a safe hiding spot. Jamie is an amazing dog - she is very loving and has a great personality. Whoever adopts her will be a very lucky family. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Jamison, please complete an app and tell us more about your family.  September 12, 2026, 10:48 am

Story
I adopted Didi in Nashville, TN in Nov 2020. She had been at the shelter since Jan. She came in pregnant. Her entire litter was adopted - but she was not. She is skiddish and refused to be in a crate. She would self harm to get out. We moved to Florida in Dec 2021 and she adjusted ok. She has anxiety about being alone and thunder. She has been to training to help with being in a crate and to assist with her anxiety of being alone while I'm at work. My work schedule has only increased and me working from home is not an option. She needs someone who will be home or with another dog. I can not get another dog. She is completely house trained, walks on leash (no pulling), and listens on basic commands. She is not motivated by food or toys - only by not being alone. It's not fair to her due to my work schedule.

Story
Gemini Zod is a charismatic Aussie mix with a unique blend of charm and energy. This adorable pup came to us initially shy and scared, but it took just a couple of days for him to reveal the true star within. Gemini Zod has transformed into an outgoing and charismatic companion. His big personality shines through, bringing joy and laughter to those around him. Gemini Zod enjoys an extremely active lifestyle. His love for walking, chasing after a ball, and indulging in some bone-chewing sessions is truly delightful to witness. But the real show-stopper is when he decides it's time for zoomies – his playful sprints and twists are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. Gemini Zod is seeking a home that appreciates his lively spirit and is ready to provide the love and engagement he craves.  HE IS EXTREMELY PEOPLE SELECTIVE AND MUST GO TO A VERY EXPERIENCED ADOPTER. PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. Adoption fee is $450 and you can adopt me at WWW.POLKADOGZ.ORG ##2048458##

Story
He barks w other dogs but not aggressive just playful He's friendly with pol tho Huey, an Aussie Jack, is a loving, energetic, and protective dog who would make a wonderful companion for the right home. He is great with children and does well with larger dogs, he has not lived with a cat since he was a baby but is not aggressive toward them. Huey is house-trained, although he may be nervous or take some time to adjust when entering a new home. Because of a past experience where he was almost attacked, he can become vocal when he sees dogs passing by, so patience and reassurance will be important while he settles in. Huey absolutely loves cuddling, going for walks, running, and playing catch. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Huey is in need of a family who can provide him with a safe, loving, and patient environment while he transitions into his next chapter. Yes he also has his shots !

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lucky Irish Trio Looking for Their Forever Homes!   Meet Saoirse - Pronounced  Sur-sha Foster Update 9/2/2026Saoirse was a star at Camp Doglando and one of the quickest learners! She is a highly food motivated 10 month old pup who is very eager to learn and make her people happy.Saoirse continues to become more and more confident and is beyond excited to be living in a real home. She was so unsure at the beginning of camp and just a shell of who she is now. She's like a kid who keeps pinching herself because this new life just cannot be real. :)  She continues to blossom with the consistency that always having a warm bed, food, toys, and lots and lots of love provides. Here is a little bit more about her: Her parents were a Healer and a Hound Mix so she is a true hound dog - she loves all the smells! Loves all toys - She tends to play with stuffies in the morning and chews on nylabones at night. Crate Trained - Sleeps in her crate on her own throughout the day without locking the door behind her Knows Commands: Sit, Down, Stay, Place, Go into Crate, Loose Leash Walking Potty Trained Loves going for walks or runs or running around a yard Loves her people and snuggles, belly rubs, and getting kisses Could be an only dog or with living with other dogs of any size - she would be super happy either way Does not like swimming and won't go near the pool if she thinks you are going into it   ~*~*~*~*~*~ These three adorable siblings arrived at Pet Rescue By Judy on St. Patrick’s Day, so it only felt right to give them all charming Irish names! Full of life and personality, these pups are ready to bring a little extra luck—and a lot of love—into their future families. Approximately five months old, these pups are believed to be a mix of hound and heeler (Australian Cattle Dog). While we don’t have confirmed information about their parents, we were told they share these breeds—and based on their energy levels and personalities, it certainly shows! We expect them to grow into medium-to-large dogs, likely reaching 60 pounds or more when fully grown. These siblings came to us thanks to a kind individual who rescued them from a difficult situation. While their past is a bit of a mystery, their bright, happy spirits show they’re ready to leave it behind and focus on a future filled with love and adventure.  Saoirse has a beautiful brindle coat and enjoys running and jogging when she is out with staff for her daily walks.  She would do best in an active home that would include her when on their daily walks and adventures. A securely fenced backyard is required to give her the space she will need to run, play, and grow.   Important Information for New Puppy Parents  Welcoming a new puppy into your home is an exciting and rewarding experience—but it also comes with important responsibilities. To help your puppy grow into a happy, confident, and well-adjusted adult dog, dedication to obedience training, socialization, and consistent potty training is essential.  We strongly recommend that the entire family participates in puppy training classes. This not only helps build a strong bond with your new pup but also ensures that everyone is using the same commands and techniques, creating a clear and consistent environment for learning.  **Puppies thrive with structure, patience, and positive reinforcement—and so do their families! Let’s set them up for a lifetime of love and success  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 12, 2026, 10:50 am
