Derby is 7 years old with lots of love to give. She is great with kids, loves walks, and knows basic commands. She gets along with other animals and is very friendly and full of energy. She stays home for long hours and wait for us to get her out which makes her an amazing dog. However, we don't want that for her, so we are trying to find a home that have the time to spend with her.

She's a very sweet but skiddish dog. She needs a lot of love and care as she came from an abused home. Me and my wife can no longer give her what she needs because of work and children. But we want to make sure that she gets what she needs in another home.

Story
Daisy Mae is a 7-year-old, 75 lb, Border Collie/Heeler mix looking for her forever family. She is UTD, spayed, microchipped and housebroken. Daisy Mae is medium energy and would love a family to relax with after going on walks and chasing balls. She is good with dogs her size or larger but not good with small dogs and not good with cats, and prefers no children. Daisy can be prone to UTI's so she takes a cranberry supplement to help prevent them. She has been known to guard items of high value and would benefit from an active and experienced family that has previous experience with resource guarding behaviors. Training will be provided at no cost to her new family to help ensure her success. Daisy Mae has to find her new forever home because she currently lives with a toddler and needs to be in a home without children under the age of 16 yrs old due to resource guarding behaviors. Daisy's ideal home would be an adult only home that is open to participating in training to make some minor resource guarding issues easier to manage. She is a well-trained, medium energy companion that would make an amazing pet. Please note, Daisy Mae is part of Happy Trails Animal Rescue’s rehoming program. Information provided is based on their current guardian’s statements and limited interaction with volunteers. They are not under the care of the rescue. They are under the care of their current guardian. The owner is subject to placement outside of our organization. We cannot guarantee availability. Adoption fee REDUCED: $ 75 ##1177999##

Story
Zoey is 5 years old, turns 6 on May 12th of 2024. Zoey was brought into our home when we lived in Kansas - she has been all over the country! Zoey is a Border Collie mix, so definitely a working dog. She does enjoy the couch life though. Zoey needs a place where she can have a lot of attention on her. She does well with other animals but does take awhile to warm up. Zoey has a lot of personality. The faces she makes and the way she plays is absolutely her. We are actively working on training now (for leach management, basic obedience, etc.) but she is a very "polite" dog, very good behavior, and just wants all the love.

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Brock is a 3 month old 18 lb Blue Heeler mix.  He is adorable and friendly with a big personality and confidence!  He loves tug games, soft squeaky toys and chew toys & he loves to chase other dogs while playing.  Brock doesn’t back down from any dog no matter how big they are.  He has no fear!  He just wants to play with them, but his idea of playing with another dog can be by nipping their ears, face, or feet and not all dogs will tolerate his puppy combined with Blue Heeler cattle dog herding behavior. However his foster has found Brock carrying a ball or of toy during his running with the pack keeps his mouth busy and his behavior excellent. He is treat motivated and smart and is already learning sit and down.  Keep in mind, he’s all puppy so small children are not a good fit for him.  Brock loves other dogs and is learning from his foster siblings too.  He does settle down and will snuggle up with his favorite sibling on the couch.  He’s a busy body and needs someone to take the time to train him & play with him. We would love to find an adopter with heeler experience who will be able to engage his mind and body with challenges and work.  He definitely needs an active person or family with a fenced in yard.  Brock will follow you around, but he is also very independent too.  When he’s tired or hungry he throws puppy tantrums where he will frantically want to chew on his toys or annoy the other dogs.  A nap by himself or some food usually calms him down pretty fast. He’s like a baby or toddler who gets hangry or overly stimulated and needs either food or a nap.  Brock seems to like to bite on things to relax himself especially when he’s over stimulated.   He is working on crate and potty training and will need potty and exercise breaks every 2 to 3 hours. He’s  also learning to walk on a leash,  but will still need lots of training of course since he’s so young.  Brook’s very aware of his surroundings and is a very smart little boy.  He’s willing to learn! He likes to watch the ducks on the pond.  He’s very curious and aware of his surroundings.  He will be a perfect addition for an active person and/or family who wants to put in the work to train him.  Brock's very entertaining & super lovable! He’s a very good boy!!
