We do not adopt siblings to the same household. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. As Border Collies, they are naturally bright, curious, and eager to learn. This intelligent and active breed thrives when given both physical exercise and mental enrichment. They will do best in homes that can provide: • Daily exercise and playtime • Fun training sessions and enrichment activities • Consistent structure and positive guidance • A committed, active family ready for puppy life Like all young puppies, they’ll need help with potty training, basic manners, and socialization. With patience and love, they will grow into loyal, devoted companions who form strong bonds with their people. Hershey was born on 11/23/2025 and has been neutered, microchipped and given all age appropriate vaccines and preventions. The puppies have an adoption fee of $660. Puppies require a lot of time and commitment. Please make sure your schedule can accommodate a puppy as they will be a member of your family for the next 10 to 15 years. Sierra is a beautiful 1-year-old Border Collie mix with a heart full of love and a spirit made for adventure. Found as a stray and cared for by a kind family before coming to us, she’s now ready to find her perfect match. This sweet and independent girl thrives on activity and exploration—she absolutely loves to run, play, and spend time outdoors. A securely fenced yard is a must for this curious explorer, and she’ll do best in a home that can provide regular exercise and mental stimulation. Sierra can be a bit shy at first, but once she knows you, her personality truly blossoms. She becomes affectionate, playful, and will gladly lean in for cuddles and attention. She’s especially happy around other dogs and enjoys canine playmates. However, she’d do best in a home without small children, as she can be startled by fast movements and loud noises. While not housetrained yet, Sierra is very smart and learns quickly—she already knows “sit,” “wait,” and “come.” Sierra isn’t a constant cuddle bug, but she loves to be near her people, and her loyal nature makes her a wonderful companion. Story

Charlie is a beautiful young and energetic border collie! He is almost 4 (DOB 5/22/22), and is a very sweet boy who loves to give kisses and play all the time! However, he does have some behavioral issues like resource guarding that are still a work in progress. Training has been extensive, but he is eager to learn and is very food motivated! I think he needs a different environment, unfortunately, as I am not able to continue the training myself. He needs structure and consistent training with lots of room to run and play. He knows all the basic commands (sit, stay, shake, roll over, spin) and is fully crate trained as well. I love him dearly, and want the absolute best for him.
