Story
Sabrina is an amazing dog who just needs someone willing to work with her. She is amazing with children (just needs work on being too excited around small children She absolutely loves sniff walks and fetch to wear her out and work her brain. She will need a more involved owner who understands her needs. She’s got some unique quirks that make her even more special! She needs a very slow introduction to other dogs but has been able to play with and be around some other non dominant dogs. She does have Addison disease which is kept in control with a monthly injection. She would benefit from a forever home with someone who can keep up with that and give her a calm loving environment to spend her golden years. Her adoption fee is sponsored https://www.pupandcatco.com/

Story
Meet Thunda — your future adventure buddy and part-time zoomies champion! I’m a 3-month-old Border Collie mix with an easy going personality packed into an adorable wiggly body. One minute I’m zooming around the yard like a rocket, and the next I’m ready to curl up and recharge for my next round of fun. I absolutely love being outside, whether I’m exploring, running, or just enjoying the fresh air! I’m still learning how this whole “being a dog” thing works, so I’d love a home with a young, energetic dog who can show me the ropes and be my partner in playtime and mischief. I’m smart, curious, and always ready to learn—especially if treats are involved! If you’re looking for a playful, lovable pup who will keep life exciting and fill your home with laughter, I’m your guy. Adopt me, and let’s make every day an adventure! Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.

Story
Meet Mikie (Mike-y) Age: 4 Months | Weight: 23 lbs | Status: Professional Sofa Hog & Part-Time TV Critic Mikie is a 16-week-old, 23-lb ball of happy chaos who’s equal parts athlete, comedian, and couch potato. He’s looking for an experienced, active family ready to direct his puppy energy and enjoy his hilarious personality. Mikie’s Highlights: • TV Watcher Extraordinaire - Yes, really. If you’re bingeing, Mikie’s right there with you, head tilted, taking it all in. He’ll judge your show choices silently but lovingly. • Ball is Life - Loves chasing balls and he’s already doing great with “release”! He’ll drop it and stare at you like, “Again? Please say again.” Future fetch champion in training. • Certified Sofa Hog - This boy believes in a full stretch. Couch, bed, dog bed—if it’s soft, he’ll claim it and sprawl like he pays rent. #ZeroRegrets • Energy Report: Busy → Busier → CRASH - Play, play, play… then instant nap mode. He goes 0 to 100 and back to 0 with no warning. You’ll get zoomies AND snuggles. • Brain + Body - At 16 weeks and 23 lbs, he’s growing fast and super smart. He thrives with structure, play, and a job to do. Mental games, training sessions, and adventures = a happy Mikie. Mikie’s Dream Home: An experienced, active family who gets that puppies = work + fun. He’d love kids who know how to play with pups, another playful dog, or humans who want a hiking/park buddy. If you can match his energy and teach him the ropes, he’ll reward you with loyalty, laughs, and the best post-play cuddles. Promise from Mikie: I’ll watch your shows, steal your spot on the sofa, and love you with my whole puppy heart. Interested?
