Everyone, meet Anny! This beautiful girl joined her Hero foster family just a day ago and is already melting hearts. She’s an Australian Shepherd Blue Heeler mix, and about two years old. She very quickly latches on to people, and loves getting attention. Snuggling, getting her belly rubbed, or just walking beside you…it really doesn’t matter as long as she is near her people. She loves being with a family, as she moves person to person and thrives on sharing the love. She takes a minute to get used to other dogs…likely a product of being in the shelter and being a sweet, sensitive girl, but she is already adapting to our two dogs. She would thrive as an only dog in an active family, and would need a yard with a fence where she could show her speed and burn some energy. Above all, she needs a family who needs her, and will show her as much love as she will show them…hers will come back 10 fold. Anny is comfortable in her crate and sleeps through the night without a peep. She appears to be potty trained, walks well on her leash and is just a joy to be around. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Found as a stray and cared for by a kind family before coming to us, she’s now ready to find her perfect match. This sweet and independent girl thrives on activity and exploration—she absolutely loves to run, play, and spend time outdoors. A securely fenced yard is a must for this curious explorer, and she’ll do best in a home that can provide regular exercise and mental stimulation. Sierra can be a bit shy at first, but once she knows you, her personality truly blossoms. She becomes affectionate, playful, and will gladly lean in for cuddles and attention. She’s especially happy around other dogs and enjoys canine playmates. However, she’d do best in a home without small children, as she can be startled by fast movements and loud noises. Boss man has been with me since birth. He was the alpha pup of my parents' family pet, Diamond. Unfortunately, I'm at a point in my life where i need to relocate, but i just am not able to accommodate him on this transition. I've gone back and forth with myself about this decision for about 5 years. i honestly don't want to give him up for adoption but my current situation has forced me to decide. I have had Crane for about a month. At 11 months, he is on the edge between puppy and adult.But one of my dogs has taken a dislike to him and keeps attacking him. For his safety, he needs to be adopted soon. Crane is a lovely boy. He adores people and begs everyone for pets. He also gets along with cats. The only thing he wants out of life is to be with his people, especially in physical contact. I've been taking him to work with me, and the whole way there and back, he curls up in my lap. If I sit on the couch, he wants to sit with me, touching me. He's a Border Collie mix, but I'm not quite sure what the mix is. He does have separation anxiety, but look at it from his point of view. In his first 10 months of life, he has lived in at least 4 different places. In his little world, everyone he loves always leaves. He would do best as an only dog, and I long for him to find a place where the people he loves do not leave.
