Story
Miss P is a beautiful Border Collie/ Lab mix. She is a middle aged girl, and is ready for her forever family! She is very dog friendly, and has a rough and tumble play style. She has never met a dog that she doesn&#39t like! Miss P is very food motivated and takes treats gently. She&#39s crate trained, house trained, and knows her basic commands. Miss P enjoys hunting for critters in the yard and chewing on her Nyla bones! Miss P would love a forever home with another dog and a fenced yard where she can spend time outside. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. If you&#39re interested in adopting this sweet girl, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.November 27, 2024, 12:00 pm

Story
Hi there! My name is Kratos!I am an almost four old medium-sized border collie-looking mix, but these are just guesses from my care team here; you may think something else! I was brought in by Animal Control a little over two months ago and had some pretty terrible allergy issues going on. I was treated and now am finally available for adoption! I am considered "special needs" due to my allergies and will likely be on a specific diet and possibly medications. I am an extremely sweet and chill pup that is just looking for my forever home where we can be companions and buddies. I may just be another "black and white dog," but I guarantee if you come to meet me, I will not disappoint. Hope we meet soon! Weight: 57.5 lbs Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 57.5 Age: 4yrs 0mths 1wks

Story
A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Sierra is a beautiful 1-year-old Border Collie mix with a heart full of love and a spirit made for adventure. Found as a stray and cared for by a kind family before coming to us, she’s now ready to find her perfect match. This sweet and independent girl thrives on activity and exploration—she absolutely loves to run, play, and spend time outdoors. A securely fenced yard is a must for this curious explorer, and she’ll do best in a home that can provide regular exercise and mental stimulation. Sierra can be a bit shy at first, but once she knows you, her personality truly blossoms. She becomes affectionate, playful, and will gladly lean in for cuddles and attention. She’s especially happy around other dogs and enjoys canine playmates. However, she’d do best in a home without small children, as she can be startled by fast movements and loud noises. While not housetrained yet, Sierra is very smart and learns quickly—she already knows “sit,” “wait,” and “come.” Sierra isn’t a constant cuddle bug, but she loves to be near her people, and her loyal nature makes her a wonderful companion. She weighs about 57 lbs and has been spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Her estimated birth date is 07/23/2024, and her adoption fee is $185. 🎁 Bonus! Thanks to Subaru, Sierra’s adoption comes with three free professional training sessions to help support her transition and set everyone up for success. If you want to know more about Sierra, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
I have had Crane for about a month. At 11 months, he is on the edge between puppy and adult. But one of my dogs has taken a dislike to him and keeps attacking him. For his safety, he needs to be adopted soon. Crane is a lovely boy. He adores people and begs everyone for pets. He also gets along with cats. The only thing he wants out of life is to be with his people, especially in physical contact. I've been taking him to work with me, and the whole way there and back, he curls up in my lap. If I sit on the couch, he wants to sit with me, touching me. He's a Border Collie mix, but I'm not quite sure what the mix is. He does have separation anxiety, but look at it from his point of view. In his first 10 months of life, he has lived in at least 4 different places. In his little world, everyone he loves always leaves. He would do best as an only dog, and I long for him to find a place where the people he loves do not leave.

Story
Kofi joined our family after being found in our neighborhood in August 2025. He is approximately 2-3 years old and is sweet and affectionate with his people. He loves long walks, playtime, and thrives with activity and engagement. Like many dogs who may not have had consistent early socialization, Kofi has challenges that are important to share so he can be matched with the right home. He does not do well with cats and needs continued socialization training. He can pull on leash and may become reactive when seeing other dogs—and sometimes people—as he has grown protective of his family. He is also not always comfortable with house guests. When we travel, Kofi stays at a group dog boarding facility, where staff report he does well overall, with some manageable challenges. Due to having a cat in our home and current health and caregiving demands, we can no longer provide the consistency Kofi needs. We love him deeply and want him to thrive in a home that can meet his needs.

Story
Max is a one-year-and-two-month-old female Border Collie. She is very sweet, intelligent, and energetic, and she loves people and children. She is healthy, and up to date on all her vaccinations. We are relocating internationally on January 28 and, unfortunately, cannot bring Max with us. This decision was not made lightly. We are looking for a responsible, loving, long-term home for her. Max would do best in an active home where she can receive plenty of exercise, attention, and love.

Story
Meet Tommie Truffles I’m Tommie Truffles—but my foster mom sometimes calls me “Truffles” (or “Trubbles” when I’m being extra silly).  But don’t worry because I am as sweet as my name - I’m more sweetness than trouble! I’m about a year and a half old, around 50 pounds, and finally looking and feeling my best after a tough start in life. Now I’m clean, fluffy, healthy, and soaking up every joy of puppyhood for the very first time. I’m a playful, curious, and smart boy who thinks sticks, stones, and pinecones are life’s greatest treasures. Most of all, I love people—my tail starts wagging the moment I see a new friend. I know “sit” and am learning more every day. Sometimes I still bounce with excitement, so I’d do best in a home without very small kids. I’m energetic, funny, and a little stubborn (in the most charming way), which means I need someone who will keep my mind and body busy. I walk nicely on a leash, ride calmly in the car, and even hang out quietly at my foster mom’s office. At night, I’ve graduated from the crate to the bed, but when left alone, crating is still best for me since I’ve got that puppy spark. Tommie Truffles is happy, healthy, and ready for his forever adventure. Could that be with you?   Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.          January 15, 2026, 12:11 am

Story
Smart, spirited, and full of heart - Levi Ahoy is a handsome cattle dog mix looking for his perfect match!   Levi is the kind of dog who wins you over with his quick mind and big, expressive eyes. He’s eager to learn, super responsive to training, and loves having a job to do. If you enjoy outdoor adventures, brain games, or a good game of fetch, Levi will be right there beside you, tail wagging and ready to go.   Levi loves his people deeply, but can feel stressed if he’s cornered or if his boundaries aren’t respected. He thrives in a calm, understanding home where he’s given space to warm up at his own pace. For that reason, he’s looking for an adult-only home (no young kids, please). The great news is, Levi is wonderful about communicating when he’s uncomfortable and is easily called away or redirected. He really wants to get it right and listens beautifully once he trusts you.   He’s likely housebroken, enjoys being outdoors, and has plenty of energy for walks, hikes, or backyard zoomies. He’s also got a sensitive side. Levi can be a bit picky with food, but when it comes to playtime and affection, he’s all in.   Levi Ahoy is ready to find someone who appreciates his smarts, respects his space, and loves him for the amazing, loyal companion he is. If you’re looking for a dog who will make you laugh, keep you on your toes, and fill your life with adventure, Levi might just be your guy. Story
Meet Sugar Plum: All Around Great Dog!  This is Sugar Plum! Her smile is genuine, and this happy girl is always smiling!    Sugar Plum is approximately 1.5 years old and is a perfect size at roughly 45 pounds. She is potty trained, crate trained, and knows many basic commands including “sit”, “down”, and “stay”.  You would never know by her friendly outgoing and happy demeanor that Sugar Plum had a rough start in life.  As a puppy she was hit by a car, left untreated and eventually had one leg amputated. Sugar Plum bounced back beautifully, and her disposition is still sweeter and happier than just about any dog you’ll ever meet.  Because of the amputation Sugar Plum is a tripod, but don’t let that dampen your enthusiasm because it doesn’t slow her down one bit!  She doesn’t notice it, and neither will you when you meet her. She is a wonderful role model for people to see! Sugar Plum would fit right in with an active lifestyle and someone that will appreciate her fun spirit and loving companionship. She does great with people, kids and other dogs, but we do think her youthful puppy energy might be a bit much for smaller children. If you think Sugar Plum might be a good fit for you or you and your family, please put in an application for her. This sweet, spunky girl has so much love to give and is ready to bring sunshine, snuggles, and tail wags into the life of a lucky adopter.   * To see more pictures of Sugar Plum, copy and paste this link into your browser: https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjCne7V.     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions.
